Celebration Roundup and BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch

Has anyone made reservations for the new character meal Celebration Roundup and BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch? DL website states it opens April 2, but I haven't seen any buzz on the Dis about it. My ADR window is coming up and wanted to get an idea of pricing and length of the show/meal...

I just did this today for April 29. The CM said that today was the first day that it was available. The cost is 28.99 per adult and 18.99 per child 3-9, tax and tip not included.

I am curious about this also! Is it a buffet or menu? Which characters might be available?

The CM said that it was offered from 11:30 until dinnertime. It is a BBQ menu and would be served family-style, not a buffet. Since it is outdoors, it could be cancelled if it rains. Jessie and Woody could show up but it is not guaranteed.

I just made reservations for Apr. 9, and was told $28.99 includes tax & tip....i specifically wrote this down. They can take reservations from 11:00a.m. to
7 p.m.

Is there a show too?

Did they say exactly what the "celebration" would be like?

How many characters would be passing thru the bbq? Will it be about 5 or so like the other character meals?

I just called and the CM I spoke with confirmed the price and also stated it did not include tax and gratuity.
I also asked about AAA discount, she said not that she has been told.
I aslo asked about charcters and she said it is not officially a "character meal" so there may be some around, but no gurantee.

I can't wait for them to release more details. I want to hear what the show is. I am thinking of reserving there for ds' birthday but I'd need more details.

just made our reservations for April 3rd at 6pm (it's my son's b-day and he wants to do dinner there).

Ours was the 1st Celebration Roundup reservation that the castmember had done, so she was unsure of many details. I did find out it's outdoors, 28.99/person over 9, and that they close if it rains. They will do something for my son's birthday - not sure what.

We are excited just to be able to try something new out the day after it opens!

Yes it seems pricey for meal that is not guaranteed to be a "character meal"! I am curious to find out more details.
We don't like to do character meals right now anyways because my DD11 is very picky and eats very little - certainly not enough to come anywhere near justifying paying almost $30 for a meal for her. And our oldest DS turns 10 in August. So that would be another adult price meal!

Well if it's not a character meal then it makes sense not to have T & T included. I guess I just thought it would be....I'd love to do this but I want it to be a character deal.
