Celebration of Harry Potter Films, Nov 11-13, at Islands of Adventure

In my package I did not see anything about early admission at 6:00 Am , only listed as one hour before opening. Does anyone else have any info on this matter.

When you click on the restrictions button, it says 1 hour before park opening. I would definitely call.

I am wondering a LOT of stuff...

1) how come we had to pay so darned MUCH and have to book a "partner" hotel. I see someone got Hard Rock which is where we wanted to stay but they didn't allow that for the Premiere package.

2) They don't tell you which signers will be there... But it's not the following:
a) JK Rowling (number one on my "signer" wish list)
b) Daniel Radcliffe (he's in a play that doesn't end till December on Broadway and he's performing that night) and he happens to be number 2 on my wish list
c) Emma Watson (she'll be at Oxford and Classes will be in midstream) and she's number 3 on my wish list

3) We obviously cannot get the FULL BluRay set... which is HUGE in my opinion on my wish list.... because the Deathly Hallows Part 2 set doesn't even show up till November 18th I think they said. And they do not do the next "set" till after "x" amount is sold... UNLESS there is something special JUST for those at WWOHP who signed for these packages. BUT they didn't sound like it was exciting when we asked. They just said they could only say set which could be any combination of older sets that've come out. They never said COMPLETE in their original postings.

Hopefully this is worth it because as I figure, I've seen the Doubletree which many are at going 69 bucks a night that's less than 280 dollars plus your park passes for three days (don't know how much, but under 200 each? Add that up and it's less than half the price we paid! So let's hope the gala and autographs are GOOD as well as the bluray set!

PS It might be wise to "trade" autographs. For example, we have two in our party. I am willing to trade one set of our autographs for one of yours if you go on a different day? Let me know and we can meet up!

PS it says "comfortable" clothes like you'd wear to the park for the gala? Guess it's not that fancy then.

Hard Rock was Available for Premiere Packages...We ended up choosing Royal Pacific because Hard Rock added almost $200 more per person...Not sure why you did not get the other choices.

Actually it was only available as a glitch in their system. They were not suppose to have those available with the premiere packages...or any of the packages for the HP celebration. 15 rooms at on site hotels were booked with the packages before they were removed....and yes I did get one of them. We feel really lucky to have gotten it, but ya...it was just a glitch. LOL!

Well, I DO wish now that I had gotten to stay onsight. This will be our first visit in 6years as offsite guests. I still think we will have an amazing time and feel fortunate just to have gotten the package considering how fast they went. I just wish they would release more details than they have

When you guys find out which actors will be there, please let us know who they are.

Those of you that got the premier package, can't you call back and try to upgrade your room to stay on-site? Myabe you can pay the difference? Just a thought. BTW, is there any news about the reference on the website that says ... other ways to participate ... stay tuned???

Overall I am very disappointed in the lack of details. It was a lot of money to lay out without knowing who was going to be there or how the Q/A and autograph sessions are running. There is no indication as to how many autographs, what stars will be there, and if all of them will be at every session... I sure hope that I dont get stuck with "the 3rd kid on the left in the second row of bleachers at the quidditch match"

we are first time visitors from Australia heading to WWOHP from 12 November - 16 November and we could only book the celebration package as premier package wasn't even available to us when booking on the US site... for us, it's our first o/seas trip and the whole purpose of the trip was to see WWOHP, so to get the celebration package was awesome, and we managed to get RPR onsite hotel as well, so we're totally happy with that...

but does anyone have any news about attending the gala or an auto session? we've got our booking for the q&a but we were hoping to get an autograph and maybe have our biggest HP fan get a pic with one of the stars (any of them would be awesome, but the weasley twins or draco are high on our wishlist).

or maybe bribing someone ;) or sliding some money across the table for an entry to one of the other events in the premier package :)

My predictions were and still are:

Tom Felton
Matthew Lewis
Devon Murray
Warwick Davis
Phelps Brothers
Evanna Lynch

So far, Tom Felton is the first one to come out and admit he'll probably be there.

We already know that Rowling, Radcliffe and Watson cannot be guests.

It's unlikely but not impossible Rupert will be there.

None of the older actors do conventions or events like this. It's super unlikely that the likes of Alan Rickman, Jason Isaacs or Michael Gambdon, Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith, Kenneth Branagh... you get the picture, will do anything like this.

Other slim possibilities that would do it but seem to into other things right now would be:

Jamie Campbell Bower
Bonnie Wright

Since they are a couple, she may not go if he's not asked and I am guessing Jamie's part is too small for them to want him...

Just my humble predictions.

Anyone else care to wager bets on who's going?

I could be satisfied with most of those listed. There is always the hope that others you havent mentioned could attend. I would be thrilled if they could get Helena Bonham Carter or David Tennant. Especially Tennant. Right now its fun just thinking of who could be there regardless of how unlikely the possibility is. This seems to be the biggest thing with WWOHP since the Grand Opening ceremony so lets hope it is truly spectacular.

Mine would be Rowling, Radcliffe, Watson, Grint first (duh) but I love Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs as I think they were the most brilliant actors. Rickman is so versatile too. I mean He's a baddie in Die Hard, or the comedic relief in Galaxy Quest and he does serious plays... and he's so troubled and tormented here. He's brilliant. As for characters, I also liked Jason Isaacs character and he was so memorable in The Patriot... I also like Evanna Lynch. She was very well cast.

I'd not mind seeing Clemence Poesy or some of the lesser known people as well. I also would love to see Dawn French or John Cleese. Wouldn't those be great!

The only "no way, won't be there" actors are Radcliffe, Watson and Rickman for sure. Emma has school and Dan and Alan will both being doing their Broadway shows. Of course Universal has said that JKR will not be there either.

So I agree with the above list. Tom Felton has already said he would be happy to attend, the Phelps twins love doing the stuff for the parks so if they are not booked for something, I'd bet they'd be there. Evanna and Matt are also most likely attending as they are usually the "Potter convention embassadors". There is a chance Rupert might be in for it, he does have a love for City Walk and he would be the only one of the trio that might have some availablity.

As for the older actors, they never attend Potter events outside of premieres, although Michael Gabon did attend the WWoHP opening so if they get any of them to do it, I'd bet it would be him.

Many actors do conventions. Devon Murray, Warwick Davis, Mike Edmonds (he's not credited but was a Goblin), Rusty Goeff, Ray Griffiths (same thing, goblins with no credit), John Hurt is at a convention now (NEVER thought I'd see that one... now that would be a great one to get!), Matthew Lewis, Harry Melling, Katie Purvis (uncredited Goblin), Chris Rankin, Adrian Rawlings, Kiran Shah (Uncredited Goblin), Danielle Tabor, Will Theakson, Jamie Waylett, Luke Youngblood, Christian Coulson, Emily Dale, Alfie Enoch, I THINK Shirley Henderson did on (or was supposed to), Toby Jones, Hugh Mitchell, Natalie Tena (oh add her to my list of possibles), Stanilav Ianeski (Krum), katie Leung, Christian Simpson, Tolger Safer, Ian Whyte, Afshan Azad, Hero Tiffin-Fiennes and a couple others have ALL done conventions.

Add me another two to my desire to meet list: Timothy Spall and Brendon Gleeson. Great parts! Great actors...

If anyone is interested, I am a collector (I do not sell anything) and not sure the rules of posting websites, but view my collection of autographs for Harry Potter (Possibly the largest or near largest anywhere). starwarsautographcollecting.com

I'm (obviously) excited to go but I wish they would release more info about it. I don't think they have solidified who is going to be there for celebrities. I don't care to meet the top three but it might be cool to meet Matt, Evanna or the Phelps brothers.
What I'm interested in is hearing about the Gala. I got the cheaper package but it still seems interesting to me. And I want to know about the blu-rays. I'm thinking this will coincide with the release of the movie on blu-ray/dvd so I'm interested to know if the pack we're getting will be 1-8 or 1-7.
And if they are having anything else going on those days.
*sigh* part of the fun is the waiting and planning, isn't it?

PS If anyone gets doubles and wants to trade for something, I am up for that if I do not have the signature or if it's something better than I have, I would be up for that and naturally, I am sure I have tons of neat things to choose from!

I go to most of the conventions to. We probably have a similar collection.:thumbsup2 I was unable to score the premier package so I only have the Q&A as of now. I'm hoping they let us add on the gala at least, I probably won't need the autographs of those that attend.

To Alicia from Australia, so sorry but the package you purchased does not come with the gala or the autograph session. We had to pay a LOT more to get that...and that extra money only included that. In addition, they did NOT let us get an inside the park hotel....

People need to understand the difference between the two packages.

Neither package was supposed to include the on site hotels but 15 people I heard got in. I don't know how but when we went to order and were on the phone with them they said NOBODY from either package was allowed. They did this on purpose to drum up business for their "partner hotels" as November is the slow month for Universal. Now it won't be with these packages.

The only other difference is the lower priced package does NOT include the autograph session or the gala.

Every package does include the Three Broomstricks breakfast (which is a nice breakfast I must say), a pin, a DVD set (my opinion is that we will get INDIVIDUAL DVD's, just plain ones (in other words not special editions) of each set. I could be wrong; who knows. But seems that there is no set available to the US people till at least December. So unlikely we'll get anything spectacular. Also, every package gets the Q and A so you'll be able to see someone from the films (no autographs but better than nothing). You also get park passes for 3 days and you get in one or two hours early.

It's in debate right now, but it appears that the original posting said one hour earlier than ANYONE including on site hotel patrons. However, now they have backtracked and said one hour early (along with the on site hotel people and VIPS) which is a LOT of people (still thousands). You have to purchase other things like fast passes, drink and meal deals....

Hope that helps.

I think everyone is familar with the difference in the packages the problem for me at least wasn't paying the extra money, I fully planned to pay it. The problem was that the package for US guests sold out faster than most concerts. Even trying to book right at noon didn't work as the website kept freezing and the package sold out on me before I could get halfway though putting in my info. Honestly, it about turned me off on the whole thing altogether and I still think Universal should have been more forthcoming in their "limited availablity" advertising info.

After being royally hacked off I called customer service and was not very happy to hear there were less than 150 Premier packages made available to US residents. That's not limited, that's insane. And yet there are still premier packages available for the UK to this day.:confused3 So now I'm stuck with the crappy "celebration package" that I quite honestly think is a joke in comparison to other package, but the friend going with me has never been and was looking very forward to this event so we took it. I have a gut feeling that I'm going to be completely miserable, especially the night of the Gala.
