Sunday February 15th 2009

Today was rather overcast and as it was February we thought it may be rather cool so wore trousers.

As I wanted to ride the Monorail we walked through Epcot from IG and the UK was empty.

Except for an early drunk waiting for the pub to open!

The crowds into Epcot didn’t look too bad and the flower display at the front was as good as ever.

Even after a short walk we realised it was unusually muggy! Anyway off we went to MK and when we go there it was rather busy

As we got close to the castle a parade started and after looking at the show and parade schedule realised it was a new parade that had only started a few days ago called – ‘Celebrate It’

We had a wander round Tomorrowland and then onto Toontown and for the first time took a look in Minnie’s house.

Followed by Mickey’s house, which looked like the typical bachelor pad!

By now there were a few spots of rain and we continued round the park on the Railroad catching a good glimpse of Bay Lake Tower as we got near to the Main Street Station, which we got off at.

As it was so busy we left the park and went on the Monorail to the Contemporary to get a closer look of BLT. As we walked towards BLT I saw this fun metal Mickey :thumbsup2

The building was now virtually finished.

Another place we had never been before was the Polynesian so we got the monorail across to there. The interior lobby area was very pleasant and much like the RPR at Universal.

By now we were feeling hungry and decided a trip to the Earl of Sandwich was in order so caught the bus to Downtown Disney. We got there and it was packed  I had the The Earl's Club - roast turkey, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato

While Nathan had his usual Hawaiian BBQ - ham, grilled chicken, Hawaiian BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese and pineapple

Then it was time for some shopping in the World of Disney. It was also packed but we found what we wanted and there was an extra 10% off today for annual pass holders :D It was then time to get the bus back to the BWI. What a wait we had numerous buses for other resorts came and went then the queue built and one bus came for BWI/YC/BC/Swan and Dolphin!! No sooner had we started to pull away totally packed another bus arrived and was virtually empty  Anyway the journey back to the BWI was long as we were last drop off. The whole wait and journey must have taken nearly and hour and a half. Although we love the location of the BWI for Epcot and DHS we do not like the way the bus is shared with so many other resorts :( Infact we are quite glad now that we did not buy DVC at either BWV or BC.

Tonight we decided to head off back to MK to watch Wishes. The evening was looking quite pleasant outside at the BWI.

As we got to Main Street it was still quite busy. Luckily the first Spectromagic had just finished and we were able to get a good spot close to the castle.

Just as Wishes started so did the spots of rain and it was amazing the number of people who got up and left! The only problem we found with being so close was we couldn’t see a lot of the fireworks behind the castle so in future may get a little further back. By now we were hungry so headed over to the Columbia Harbor House and I had the chicken and chips whiles Nathan had the fish and chicken with chips.

As it was only 10pm we went on Pirates of the Caribbean which was virtually a walk on and then we went and did Big Thunder Mountain in the dark! After this we caught the second showing of Spectromagic in Frontierland.

By now it was late and we headed off back to the BWI but a lot of other people were still about.

We got back to the BWI at about midnight and fell straight into bed.

Fancy that 'early drunk' from Epcot getting in your MK Castle photo too!:lmao: Seriously another lovely day, I especially like seeing all the resort photos as we have never been. I quite fancy staying in some of them.
