Celebrating Summer STITCH Style--A May/June '12 PTR! NEW TR UP. . .See Last Post

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!!

May it be a day full of blessings and love for you and your family!

Happy Easter to your family as well :)
Three Broomsticks, that's where we ate for lunch too! The inside looked very cool. . .while I was ordering and getting my lunch. . .but then to avoid another hour or more wait to get inside to dine inside (a cs lunch for heaven's sakes) we had to take our food outdoors. I had pumpkin juice, so delicious and the parents had butterbeer. I just don't care for butterscotch and didn't want to waste a cold drink on a hot day on something I probably wouldn't care for. Snagged a sip off mom's and I made the right decision for myself.
I think I've eaten at WPE once and don't even remember what I had. I do remember the people behind the counter being rude, and so I didn't care to go again. While other family members eat there I run over to Earl of Sandwich and then we eat together in the outdoor seating area by WPE. If we eat down there for this trip though I'm willing to give it another shot, may have been a bad day for the food staff.
Can't wait to read more. . .we (Cindy and I) did a post last night and then forgot to post it :scared1: We'll get that done later :rolleyes1

I have heard that it can get crowded in there, even now. We are usually early lunch people, so we'll probably head to lunch about 10:45-11:00. I'm hoping it's not so crowded that we can't sit in there!

We have always had a good experience with WPE. Last time, the people working were SO nice. They even came to the table several times just to chat! I hope you have a better experience this time!

Can't wait to read your newest post!! :cool1:

Happy Birthday, Brian!

A little diversion from Disney. . .but not really! We celebrated Brian’s 39th with my family. From my parents , he got a new suitcase, and from my brother and sister-in-law, he got a gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Now, supposedly the suitcase is for work and the gift card is to replace his worn out tennis shoes.

But. . .here’s what I’m seeing. . .

A new suitcase to take to Walt Disney World, and new tennis shoes for walking around!

Yay! More gifts with a Disney purpose!!

Coming tomorrow: Day 3 Plans!

Congrats on the new luggage and tennis shoes Bri!!! Love it!!

We bought new luggage this weekend...the kids asked for it for Easter.. who am I to argue with a well thought out request from teens!!! I came home and was looking at it..and my one 3 piece set came with 4 pieces..and one piece was a pulling duffle bag that wasn't supposed to be... LOL I called and let them know and they said keep it! Alrighty then!!! :) Needless to say the luggage fairy was very nice and has our family covered!!! Now, I need white and black vinyl to make my mickey heads to add to them!

Caught up on your trip report. :woohoo: We love The Incredible Christmas Place! I have the song stuck in my head now. :rotfl:

Did y'all cry when Peyton didn't go to the Titans? I was hoping he'd come home to Tennessee but I guess I'll have to become a Denver fan now. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear how you like the World of Harry Potter. We haven't been yet and I really want to go.

Hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter!

Wow, Nan!! That's terrific on the luggage fairy! Love when that stuff happens!!

Oh no. . .now I'm singing that song! :rotfl2: Yes, we were hoping he'd be back here. . .closer to go watch! But I'm thinking we'll now have to have a Broncos matching shirt day in WDW! ;)

We are very excited about HP as well! Can't wait to see it!

I hope your Easter was terrific, too!

Today is our sleep-in day! We are going to sleep until we wake up, and then head to the pool! We are looking forward to trying out the Wilderness Lodge pool and relaxing there for a while.

After lunch and nap, we head to our only real plan of the day. . .dinner at Chef Mickey’s. This is always a good re-introduction to the characters for D, and we love it!

*Our Chef Mickey’s photo from April 2011!

After dinner, I’m hoping we can head to Epcot for a little while. We don’t usually dedicate a whole day to Epcot, so I’m thinking this would be a nice time to do Nemo and maybe walk around World Showcase for a bit. If we do it, great. . .if we don’t, I’m ok with that, too.

*D & Brian at the “Mine Mine” birds at Nemo!

I’m also planning a surprise for my guys while all of this is going on. . .more about that in the actual Trip Report, if it comes through!

Love going over to Chef Mickeys! It's always so much fun over there.

Cute picture of DH and D at the "Mine, Mine" birds at Nemo! D looks as if he's getting a big kick out it!

Spring Break Diversion!

Just a little break from our Disney planning for a Spring Break diversion! I love Spring Break!

Brian had to go on a business trip for the first part of the week, so D and I just hung out and played at home!

On Wednesday, we headed to Pigeon Forge. My parents have a cabin there, and it’s a great getaway! Wednesday was a sort of “holiday” in our family. . .opening day of Major League Baseball season! We are Boston Red Sox fans—I grew up a Yankees fan, but years and years with Brian has converted me. We went to the playground and played,

Went the Pottery Grill for yummy fried green tomatoes,

And then we went to Patriot Park and played! It was great just to let D run around and I got some good Spring Break pics!

The next day, we got up and went to Dollywood! We LOVE Dollywood! We’ve had season passes for a couple of years, and this year, we added Dolly’s Splash Country. . .we’re looking forward to trying that out this summer!

D got some practice in for Tomorrowland Speedway:

And rode the carousel (his Dollywood favorite):

As you can tell, I somehow manage to convince the guys that our outfits should “coordinate” when we go up there for a getaway. It makes for better pics. I am taking advantage of that as long as I can! ;)

We had lots of fun. It was a good, relaxing time, and it made me ready to wind the school year down and head to WDW!

We love Chef Mickey's, too! Definitely a fun time!!

Aww thanks for the picture compliment! D thinks those birds are hilarious!

Brooke, C says D needs to give his shirt back!! C bought that on our last trip!! "Mine! Mine! Mine!"

C says he knew D was cool! LOL

Day 3 dining:

After we sleep in, we will either have muffins I brought from home (from a mix. . .bless your heart, Martha White!) or we’ll get breakfast from Roaring Forks. It’ll depend on how hungry we are.

For lunch, we’re hoping to get ready and go to Coronado Springs and eat at Pepper Market. We’ve never tried it, and we’ve always wanted to. Since we’ll have a car this time, we thought it might be easier.

As I said earlier, we will do dinner at Chef Mickey’s. I LOVE this meal! We all do!

If we got to Epcot, I will definitely check out Karamel Kuchen (sp?). I’ve never been there, and I’m determined to get a caramel-dipped Mickey rice krispie treat! Yummalicious!!

Welcome! I am looking forward to checking out the pool, and I really think D will like the pool!

So glad to hear another positive review! We are really looking forward to it! I definitely know what you mean about Universal...we are usually Fri -Fri people, so to do Harry Potter, I added a day! Couldn't see giving up one of my Disney days!

Just popped over from the link in your signature. I keep thinking that the kids would love Sea World, Legoland, Universal, but am not ready to give up Disney time yet. One day, we'll add some time in at other parks, but I'm just not "there" yet;)

What fun on Spring Break!!! You are such a cute family!!!!
I've never been to Dollywood before. Never heard of Martha White before, and nothing within 120 miles of us either. Boy I am out of the loop ;)
We'll be going to Chef Mickey's on our last day in WDW for breakfast before hitting the MK. And now my sis can just whisk her family from their room in CR wing over to Chef Mickey's that morning. :thumbsup2
I can't wait to go to the Karmel place too--but I want to try the dark chocolate and sea salt caramel!!!

If I hadn't added a day to do Universal, we wouldn't be going. I can't imagine giving up one of my Disney days! :rotfl2:

aww, thanks! We're a little dorky and a lot crazy, but we have fun! :thumbsup2

So sad that you don't have Martha White! She "assists" me in making wonderful muffins, coffee cakes, and cornbread! :rotfl2: ooh that seasalt caramel sounds good! Might have to talk Brian into that one!!

EASTER:

Another Disney diversion! The Easter Bunny visited our house! He left candy, eggs, and CHUGGINGTON TRAINS!!

IMG_0270.jpg

If you’ve never seen Chuggington, it’s a train cartoon on Disney Junior. D thinks it’s the best thing going today! ;) Chuggers have been living with us for a year and a half, and there’s no end in sight!

After the Easter Bunny visited and we found eggs, we went to my parents’ house for Easter Brunch. We had a great breakfast-breakfast pizza, Benton’s country ham, homemade biscuits, and fruit!

IMG_0311.jpg

Of course, I found time to get some family pics in!

D got to play with his cousin (my niece), Blythe! They always have a blast together!

We love Easter! Such a great day to celebrate blessings!!
