Celebrating Summer STITCH Style--A May/June '12 PTR! NEW TR UP. . .See Last Post

Just caught up! :) You have some really great family photo's! It looks like D is having a blast playing with those goats. :lmao: Congrats on passing the 50 day mark, so exciting!

I'm joining! Saw your post on Amelia's (smellyia) PTR and came over... I'm a fellow Tennessean, too! (Chattanooga)

I'll have to come back and catch up soon, when I have more time...

Trying to get an update in this morning. . .I'll come back this afternoon and do some responses! :)

Day 4 Dining:

We start our day with one of our family’s very very favorite meals. Breakfast at Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House! We love the food and the character interaction!

*Our breakfast pic from April 2011.

A definite must-do on our Animal Kingdom days is lunch at Flame Tree Barbeque. I love the salad with chicken. . .so good! We also love the seating area—it’s so relaxing!

After we relax in the afternoon, we’ll get ready and head to dinner at another favorite. ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Resort! There really aren’t words for how much we love the Poly. . .we’ve never stayed there (planning for June 2013), but we love everything about it.

Brian and I love the food here (see a pattern? We love the food everywhere!). . .the shrimp and the chicken wings are my favorite!

D loves the fact that they’ll bring him chicken nuggets while we eat the other stuff!

D cheesing it up at ‘Ohana!

I do love a good day of Disney food and fun!

Oh, he is just too cute--with that squishy little face :)
I think I just realized that on the day that you go to Chef Mickeys (is it Saturday) for dinner that is our last day at WDW and we go there for breakfast :) I've never eaten at the Tusker House, but it sure looks like fun! Not a big fan of bbq. . .sad, I know. So while everyone else could eat at Flaming Tree, I head over to Pizzafari; this time it will be Restaurantasaurs though :)
Ok, I better go get ready for work. . .my disboards addiction gets worse the closer I get to heading down to WDW:rotfl:

That about sums it up for us too. The food in Disney is it's own experience, unlike when we visit other theme parks. I love the chicken wings too. My fave!:thumbsup2

All caught up with your plans so far... everything sounds great. LOVE your countdown calendar... cute idea to have a WL feel to it!

I've been to 'Ohana once, and it's now one of my favorites! Hoping our next family trip will be October 2013 (also hoping to stay at the Poly!) and dinner at 'Ohana is a definite "must do" for that trip!

Thank you!! Yes, he was very pro-goat that day! :rotfl2:

Yay! Another Tennesseean!! Welcome!! :)

So does mine!! My addiction is in full force right now! :rotfl2: Tusker House is lots of fun...loud, but fun! I like Restaurantosaurus, too--definitely a great choice for non-Flame Tree eating!!

Exactly!! And YUM for the chicken wings!! I love, love, love them!!!

Woohoo! Caught up! Thanks--Brian and I scouted the Cricut carts I had for WL animals! Yes, my Disney planning is a little obsessive!! :rotfl2:

Don't you love hitting those milestones? I'm so excited to read about your trip!

YAY for paying off your DDP! It's a good feeling when those things are paid for and can be taken off your list.

We've eaten at Tusker House for breakfast, and really liked it too. Flame Tree is one of our faves at AK as well. AND....of course we love anything at the Poly. We've eaten at 'Ohana for breakfast and dinner. This trip is just the breakfast-saving dinner for Kona Cafe.

Thanks y'all!! I love marking things off the Almost to WDW list!! We've never done Kona....hoping for the 2013 trip! :thumbsup2

Day 5 Plans:

This morning, we get up and head to Magic Kingdom!! Ohhhhh how I love this day! I love everything about it! The opening show makes me cry everytime (yes, it’s Disney Dork-itis). We like to be there right at park opening so we can get lots of stuff done before the largest group of people arrive.

We have lots of plans for Magic Kingdom. First off, castle pics!

Then, we usually head to Tomorrowland. We will do Buzz. . .we LOVE that ride! We may try to Rider Swap Space Mountain. Since I read about the PhotoPass +, I’m going to try to get the ride pics! D wants to try Tomorrowland Speedway! We’re excited to watch him do that!

Then, it’ll be on to the new Fantasyland. The new Dumbo and Great Goofini will be tops on the list! We’ll also check out Philharmagic (Brian’s FAVORITE) and I want to do Winnie-the-Pooh! Such a fun ride!

Somewhere in this plan, we’re going to make a dash to Frontierland to get Fastpasses for Splash Mountain. Dalton wasn’t tall enough (by about ¼ inch) last April, so we are GEARED UP for this time! I may only get him on it once, so we’re going to take advantage of it.

There will also be time to visit with this guy:

We’ll go until D needs a nap, and then head back to VWL! It’s going to be a Magical Day!

Next up: 40 Days 'Til Disney Countdown Night!

We've actually never seen the opening show at MK! I plan to do my best this trip, even if it means leaving the two teens in the bed!

How exciting to get D on Splash for his first time!

More adorable pics!!!
I get emotional over it too, and Wishes!, bet even more so when seeing the Littles watch it:hug:
Sounds like a fun day :)

Updating this morning. . .I'll respond this afternoon! :) The computer is sleepy like I am this morning!

40 days til Disney countdown!! (Well. . .sort of!)

Our 40 days til Disney date was this past Saturday (4/21). We had planned to go to the Orange and White Game at UT, but it was looking like rain so we decided not to take that on with the stroller!

Since our morning plans were sort of shot, we headed to the park! We had a great time just walking around!

IMG_0468.jpg

I had a theme night planned, but at the last minute, we decided to head to Pigeon Forge and have dinner with my parents. Yummy, yummy Pottery House Grill!!

We wore Disney shirts just to celebrate!

So, on the morning of 4/22 (39 days til Disney!), we got up and had our “Theme Morning”.

IMG_0478.jpg

I decorated the table. . .

IMG_0475.jpg

And modified Saturday night’s menu! ;) D LOVES Doc McStuffins, so we had to work that into our theme!

IMG_0477.jpg

He decided he wasn’t much for the idea of coloring early in the morning. . .he’d rather kick back for a couple episodes of “Doc McStuffins”. Thank goodness for DVR!

Brian cooked breakfast. . .

And then we had these yummy delicious waffles!

A great countdown day! Winnie the Pooh and Doc McStuffins Too Rocked for us!

What a fun day they both turned out to be! Love that you still wore Disney clothing on what was your official 40 days.
Under 40 days dance :yay::woohoo:

You're not alone... the opening show makes me teary-eyed, too!

So glad I'm not alone with this!! I love the opening!

You should definitely see it at least once! D is so excited about Splash--it's all he talks about when the commercials are on!

Under 40 days! :woohoo:

We are at at 59!!! :yay:

The next few weeks are busy w/ end of school year activities/graduation as I am sure you can relate too.. However, it would make it easier if you would transfer schools and I could just send my kids in to you and meet up w/ ya'll to celebrate! LOL

Ok, making note that family will make it to the opening ceremony at MK this year or mom is going solo and will meet them later in the day!!!
