Celebrating Our 2nd Anniversary at WDW!!- PTR Update 11/1/2010 with TR Link!!

First I want to say that we made an offer on a house today. :yay: It was a very low offer so I'm anxious to see what they come back with.

Alright time to get to

DAY 3!!

Goal for today: Visit Epcot and try to get to evening EMH's at MK after dinner. If we make it to WS in Epcot that is great but if not we have another day planned for Epcot as well, so we can do what we miss then.

Breakfast: In room...What do you guys pack?

Lunch: CS...Surprised to say that I have no favorites wrote down recommendations please. I need two, because we plan to split our meals. Likely one around 11am and one around 3ish

Dinner: Coral Reef! So excited to eat here. I hope we get seats close to the aquarium :)

Rides:We plan to make rope drop to get an early start. What is your normal plan of attack here? We plan to start with Soarin and then continue on to Test track. From then on we winging it.

Our must dos:

Test Track
Turtle Talk with Crush
Seas with Nemo and Friends
Soarin
Mission:Space
Both Innovation buildings
W.S if we have time

As always any input is appreciated!

First off, congrats on making an offer on a house! That's so exciting.
Are you planning to eat in the World Showcase? If you are the CS meals at China & Norway are really good. My sister likes Mexico's but I haven't had it since they re-did it.
If you don't want to eat both the meals the WS, then Sunshine Seasons in The Land is yummy! Also, I've never eaten there, but The Electric Umbrella has pretty basic CS foods.
For the rope drop rides, I reccomend going to Soarin' first and then to Test Track. :thumbsup2

Congrats on making an offer! SO exciting!!:woohoo: Fingers crossed they at least counter offer you!!! Keep us posted!

As far as Counter Service in Epcot, I recommend Sunshine Seasons, it's the BEST!!!!!!:lovestruc It's a real meal and you can split it, I really like the 1/2 chicken meal, delish!popcorn::

I think you should get the mugs, we always do, use them in the morning and then at night when we're "home" for the night, it's a nice souvie, too IMO. We have a stroller to put them in, but you can always get a hook at attach them to your backpack?

Hi! I followed you over from where you're reading my TR (THANKS btw!) :goodvibes

First of all, your cake was so cute! I love watching Ace of Cakes on Food Network and sometimes Cake Boss on TLC. It looks like so much fun.

Second, your plans look pretty good so far. I think you've gotten a lot of good feedback. You seem to have a good grasp on fastpasses, EMH's, etc. I don't know about you and your husband, but we tend to need a break in the afternoon. I'm not sure if you're allotting time for this or not. Both on my honeymoon and my last trip in May I thought we would "power through" and rarely go back to the room. I don't think this happened except for one day. Especially because of the heat, we needed a quick break, even if just for an hour or so. I know some people don't do this but don't be surprised if you do.

As for the photopass, I would say to get it. We never have but this last trip especially I wish we had. As you probably can see from my TR so far (and it doesn't change much), we hardly have any together. If you can afford it, I say do it.

You mentioned needing QS suggestions for Epcot. I have read great things about Sunshine Seasons. DH was in the mood for a burger on our last trip so we went to Electric Umbrella which was pretty good too. If you're wanting something in World Showcase (esp for a snack), the snacks in Norway and France are GREAT! I also have a huge sweet tooth so the bakeries in those countries are so tempting. If you like coconut, I really enjoyed the School Bread in Norway. Also the Napoleon in France was tasty. But I don't think you'll have trouble finding anything sweet in either place actually!

I'm sure you're planning to go to DTD at some point. Don't miss Earl of Sandwich! This is the best QS on property, IMO. I ate here 3 times in May (and one of those trips was specifically for EOS). Don't be deterred if the line is long b/c it moves quickly. Oh and Ghiradelli is also fantastic!!! Okay, enough with food. I'm thinking about needing something sweet right now!

You're so close! I'm jealous  Looking forward to reading more of your plans and reading your TR when you get back!!!

Enjoying reading about your plans. That cake was so cute - great job! And congrats on making an offer, hopefully you hear good news about that!

You guys were married the day after DH and I - congrats on your upcoming anniversary! :goodvibes

WDW is the best place to spend them - we've gotten spoiled!

We got a counter offer today, still more than we want to pay we are going to make one more final offer and if they dont take it we will just wait for the next house to come along...we are in no hurry.

I dont know if we will get to W.S today but I wrote down your recommendations for our next Epcot day! Sounds like Sunshine Seasons is the way to go at F.W, so we will go there for sure! Soarin first then Test Track..Thanks!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, they came back 5k under asking. The house needs alot of work so were going to make one last offer and see what happens.

Yep ,decided to go to Sunshine Seasons :) Thanks for your help...our trips are so close!!!

I think we will get a mug. It will be nice to have during our afternoon breaks as well:thumbsup2

The PP who posted about buying a mug and then transferring-that is such a GOOD idea. We still use our mugs from our honeymoon to take coffee in the mornings to work and they are looking a little beat up. This way we can use them on the afternoons we are hanging out by the pool. :thumbsup2

I love those shows..I am NO way nearly as talented or ever will be but I like to see everything they make, its amazing! I think they inspired to be finally take a fondant class.

We are planning on taking a few afternoon breaks. I believe two of the days we have lunch ADR so that will give us some down time as well.

The closer we get the more convinced I am that we need to get Photopass cd but its sooo expensive  I'm still trying to convince myself to go for it and spend the money.

I also have a major sweet tooth. I know most of my snack credits will be anything that is filled with sugar. I wrote down your recomendations for W.S snacks as well. :)

Ive read amazing things about Earl so it will be a must do. Thanks for the info on the line. :thumbsup2

Enjoying your TR as well...Thanks!!

AND yep only 19 DAYS!!!

House offer update. They countered....again and we are not happy with it so we are going to walk away. I figure there will be more houses and we are in no hurry.

Hi! I found your PTR through another TR I was reading. I saw it was your first visit and I love hearing about people's first time reactions to WDW. So excited to read your TR! I've stayed at Pop quite a few times and I think you'll love it. Nothing fancy but the resort is just really fun and cute. Plenty of photo ops! Make sure you find Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head :) Looking forward to reading more about your plans!
