Glad to see you around, Amy! You were missed. Thank goodness for generators! It really is a necessity for those living in New England. Hope the power comes back soon.

Yes - Our generator has been a must-have for the past year and a half! Anyone I know who still doesn't have one has vowed to get one as soon as they are back on the store shelves!

Hi Amy! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. Sometimes my life just gets crazy!

The rumors are true...Jeff and I are going on a cruise in May! We are taking a 4 night cruise out of Orlando to the Bahamas. We are planning to spend the weekend after the cruise in Orlando, so of course, I've been trying to squeeze in a Disney day while we're there. I went on the GAD thread and found some great opportunities that Jeff and I can do at home together. I could have gone and volunteered a day somewhere, but it's much harder for Jeff to do with his work schedule and I wanted something we could do together. So...we are going to make blankets for Project Linus in Massachusetts and mail them. I am no seamstress, but it looks like a fun project that both of us will be able to handle! YAY....we'll get to go to WDW for a day! Now to decide which park......

I love the AK pics....it's amazing how much your boys have grown up in just the last two years. You can really see it in the pictures!

But it must have worked! There were 4 power trucks on our street when I got home from school today!! No power yet - but I'm hoping the trucks are a sign that we'll be getting it back any time now.

Keep dancing ladies becaue so far no power! This is getting frustrating! The news just reported that all outages should be restored by 6pm... it's 5:45... I guess we're supposed to call to re-report our outage if we aren't back up and running by 6pm. I called just after 5 and a recording told me they are aware of an outage in my area. Uggghhh... Maybe it will magically come on at 5:59.

I guess I'll just keep dreaming of Disney...

Thank you all who joined in the power dance... WE GOT OUR POWER BACK!!!

Last night around 7pm or so the street lights came back on! As soon as Tim got home he turned off the generator and switched us back on!

I'm tackling the huge pile of laundry that's accumulated over the past 5 days... it's amazing how much laundry a family of 4 can create in just 5 days!

Seven weeks from today we'll be arriving in Tampa!! Starting next Thursday, I'll be posting my weekly to-do list that covers the last 6 weeks until our vacation. In the meantime, I have some other things to finish up... like Animal Kingdom!

Favorite Memories:

• Festival of the Lion King

Wish List for 2010:
• Expedition Everest
• Dinosaur
• Kali – Zach & I have never ridden…
• More time to explore at least one of the trails
• Closer look at the Tree of Life

Things we won’t do:
• Hopefully we won’t ride Primeval Whirl! If they want to, I’ll have to take them because Tim can’t handle those kinds of rides. Or so he says… I’m sure we’ll probably ride the safari once (Zach says he likes it once, but no more! ) & I’ll leave FOTLK up to everyone else… if we need a cool break this could be a good option. I would love to see it again, but I’m not going to drag everyone there since we saw it last year… Maybe Zach & I will see it alone?

Our Plans for 2010:
Our 2nd morning (Tuesday 4/27) will be an AK morning. We will have been out late the night before at Epcot so we may not make rope drop. I’m OK with that. We’ll stay through lunch, probably Flame Tree BBQ (especially if I get a TIW card – this is one of the few CS places that you can use the card for 20% off). We’ll try to see everything we want today & we’ll stay as long as we want. I'm hoping to catch the parade since we've never seen it. I hear that Africa/near the Dawa Bar is a great place to catch the parade the second time around. Since it goes by that area twice, the crowds thing out after the first pass and you can get a great spot without much wait! We'll see...

Tim & I have a date night planned (currently 6:45 at Shula’s) so we’ll head back to the condo in time to get ready for that.
Depending what the kids’ favorites are this year, we may or may not be back on Saturday – our last day.
