Hi everyone! This is not my first time writing a PTR but, this one if probably the most exciting.
A quick introduction. My name is Kelsey, I am 19. I live in Florida, have an annual pass and go to Disney either with my friend or my mom, both of whom have annual passes as well. Since I was 14 I have had some severe health problems that resulted in a lot of pain. It has been years and years of pain and frustration and getting my hopes up by a doctor only to be let down.
This is me. I recently cut my hair to this length.
Well, I finally had a surgery that was successful and they think it should fix between 95-100% of my pain and health problems!! It still doesn't seem real and I am still only a week post op so I am dealing with that pain, but I have never been so excited. Logically, the way to celebrate? Disney World.
It isn't going to be a long trip because both my mom and I have had to take so much time off of work with my surgery and everything, but it will be amazing. I am also excited beyond words because this will be the first time that I have been able to go to Disney without a wheelchair since I was 13.
On to the trip details!
Who? My mom and I! A mother-daughter celebration trip.
What? A trip to WDW to celebrate finally having my life back
When? April 21-23
Where? WDW Florida!
Why? CELEBRATE!
A picture from my last trip to Disney, this was right after I bought my first pair of ears! Other than those I had when I was little.
I know it is sort of late to start a PTR and to start planning, but I obviously didn't know until now that the surgery worked and I would wait for the trip, but I want to see a certain special something
more on that in my next update.
I hope maybe some of you will follow along with me. I am always excited to plan a Disney trip, but planning one for this reason is just so amazing. I have to stop now because I am starting to cry thinking about it (happy tears of course!) There will be plenty of updates coming this weekend as I get the basics together!
