We will be at Disney in December and have ADR's at CRT for breakfast celebrating my daughters 18th birthday! princess:

When I told my CM that my daughter wanted to celebrate her birthday there she started asking me for the birthday girls name and how old she would be?

I have read on some of these threads special things that have been done at some of the restraunts on birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Is this something that we need to plan or does Disney do something special for the birthday person?

Your server at CRT may bring out a birthday cupcake & they may sing "Happy B-day" to your DD. Sometimes people are surprised with a birthday treat, & sometimes not.

We're having breakfast at CRT on my DD's 13th b-day this summer & dinner at the Princess Dinner in Norway.

If you want to plan on definitely getting something special, then you can order a b-day cake. That's what we're doing...and having it on the boat (I've booked an Illuminations Cruise for after dinner that day).

Hope you guys have a fun b-day!!

Why not order her a slipper dessert? Look on the "Food Porn" thread to some great pics of this very special dessert. It is an extra price (I believe around $13) and not on the DDP. We are doing this for my DS5's birthday lunch at CRT in November.

I celebrated my 30th at CRT last year and it was awesome! I ordered a b-day cake and it was the best idea I ever got from these threads. Go up to the top of the restaraunt forum to the official b-day cake thread and read through it and spend some time looking at the different cakes. Mine was a 8 inch chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and red and purple flowers. It was a lot of cake for just DH and I...we brought it back to our room and snacked on it for two more days until we had to go! But it was amazing! So tasty. I'm on the first page of the thread...not sure how far down but there are three pics, one of me with the cake (I have a pink tank top on), one of the cake and the ice cream we got, and one of the cake with a piece missing so you can see the layers. It was $30 something with tax and gratuity I believe, but my bro gave me "b-day money" to get the cake. The cake serves 6-8 I think so if you have a small group, you are good to go! Plus, we used the DDP and instead of bringing us our dessert, the waitress brought us the vanilla ice cream with a chocolate crown which is in one of the pics. So cool! I kinda felt bad, but a girl and her family were celebrating her 8th b-day across from us and when she saw my cake she thought she was getting one too...until her parents told her she would just get a cupcake. What a way to celebrate a b-day! One of my favorites ever!!!!
