Celebrating her 21st Disney Style - Real-time July 2021 Trip Report with Lots of Food Pics!!

Gideon’s bake house line at 10:52. Staying at Doubletree, we’re taking advantage of their chocolate chip cookies and have not done Gideon’s. I tried to sell my daughter on their birthday cake, but she insisted on a Minnie Dome Cake - she made a great choice (like she could have gone wrong!)... will stop by Winter Park on way back to Sanford airport for take home cookies! Will report back...

The girls are at HS this morning. DD may have had too many frozen wine drinks at WBG last evening... but the Runaway Railroad was a hit!

Sigh... YouTube videos, online reading, changed my watch face to include a secondhand display. Closed app, refreshed phone- no boarding group - gone by 5seconda after 7am on my watch.

1 pm was more of the same. DD had studied with me so she was ready- not on Disney WiFi, watched the time, jumped in right before 1, they were full when her final “join” went through. Major disappointment...

Back to WINE BAR GEORGE REVIEW

Our evening started by being seated at a lovely barrel table on the second floor. These tables are in the center of the room, but still share the amazing view! Having been sat just before sunset. We spent the first bit of time just basking in its glory. The colors so vivid, it would take your breath.

Thank you WBG for reading comments from online reservations! DD was greeted with “happy birthday princess! I hear it’s your special night and you are now 21!!” Then a ceremonial carding. Precious! This was followed by him presenting her with a sample of all 4 frozen wine drinks!! Maybe a 1/3 glass pour of each?? What a special treat! Here’s the menu of those drinks and a picture.

She decided Frozcato made with pineapple Dole Whip was the winner and ordered one after finishing her samples. I tasted them all outstanding! And I’m a wine drinker.

Two vacation tips:
- bring your corkcicles- they work for
Morning coffee and evening cocktails!
- on check out day, if you have leftover bourbon, combine the above tips- add bourbon to your coffee- it’s called a Kentucky Coffee.

Gideon’s- Success! Scored 6 cookies packaged to travel. Only about a three minute wait at East End Market. I would not have found the place without GPS. I was expecting a venue like DS. There was zero external branding. Just a little cubbie Inside the market. The marker also had a biscuit shop, bread bakery, cheese shop that did amazing looking grilled cheese sandwiches, coffee shop, etc. looks like it could make a relaxing escape from the Disney Bubble.
