Celebrating DD'S 10th Birthday with lots of Food and pics!!!

Hello fellow Diser's. This is my second Dining review. Hope you like it


We started planning our trip about a year ago to celebrate or DD's 10th Birthday in the Happiest place on Earth!! The original plan was to leave New York(we drive) on the morning of DD's Birthday and we would get to Disney by early afternoon the following day. However as our day of departure got closer and we got more excited I decided we would depart a day early

DW had to make a few changes in our reservations but it all worked out. She also had to add DMIL,DFIL,DSIL and DSIL's BF to a few of our reservations as they decided to tag along!

DW made review sheets for me and we each rated the resteraunts on a scale of 1 - 5. 1 beng awful - 5 being great!!!

Since we arrived a day early we stayed off property with DSIL her BF. We had 8:30 reservations at T-rex. We drove over to PO Riverside where DMIL and DFIL were staying and took the boat to DTD.

We walked around DTD for awhile and then checked in at T-rex. After about 15 minutes we were seated.We immediately turned to the drinks page of our menus and ordered

DSIL and I got Caveman Punch : DSIL said it was "Delish,refreshing and yummy". Ithought it was "thirst quenching".

DW and DSIL"S BF got Category 5: DW-"very needed",BF - "good"

DMIL and DFIL both got Lava Flow: DMIL- "sweet and thick", DFIL - " a girly drink, sweet and fruity" They both liked it.

DS got a coke and DD got a frozen drink and got to keep the "bones" that their drinks came in

Next we ordered the Supersaurus Sampler as our appetizer that the whole table shared.

This was very good. A little something for everyone.

Now entrees:

I got the Chicken Fried steak with garlic mashed potatoes. I thought it was good. Nothing special. Very filling and huge. Couldn't finish it.

DW and DSIL got the Porkasaurus Sandwich with fries or chips and a side salad. DW thought this was Very good and her salad was awesome. DSIL said it wasn't fabulous but the appetizer and salad got thumbs up.

DMIL got the Layers of Earth Lasagna. She was Pleasantly Surprised

DS (6) got a kid's slider and DD got Chicken tidbits. DS said yum to the slider and DD hated the waffle fries.

DFIL got the Brontosaurus Burger with pepperjack cheese. He said it was nothing spectacular. Just a burger.

DSIL'S BF got a Philly cheesesteak. He said it was nothing special.

We had to ask the waitress at the end of our meal if they were going to do something for DD's Birthday! She said we would have to buy dessert in order for them to do something special. So since we were all full we just got DD dessert. They brought it out to her and sang Happy Birthday!!

ME,DFIL AND DSIL'S BF gave T-rex 3 out of 5. The meteor shower and all the dinosaurs were pretty cool but this place was epensive for food that was just okay.

Everyone else gave it 4 out of 5. The kids really enjoyed the dinosaurs and there drinks. The adults would come back for the drinks not so much the food.

We had to get up early this morning so we could go check in at ASMo and take the bus to MK for our 9:45 reservation at CP. This was a last minute add on that DW made the night before while roaming around DTD. The plan was for us to check in at ASMo and then meet everyone at MK.

Check in was going smoothly. The CM told us our room was ready and gave us a key and directions to the room. We were surprised that it was ready being that it was so early in the morning but we figured we had time to go put some things from the car into the room. We drove over to our building and grabbed a few things from the car and headed for our room. When we got to the room the card(key) didn't work. DW tried a few times and started losing it. While she tried again I noticed that there were suitcases in the room right near the window. We realized that the people that were in the room must not have checked out yet.

We lugged our stuff back to the car and went to the bus stop for the bus to MK. We arrived at MK around 9:00 and of course DW's parents and sister were not there. Now I have to say that it was no surprise that thay weren't there yet because DW's family seems to take their time getting places. DW tried calling everyone's cell phones but of course no one was answering.DW starts getting mad because she told everyone the night before that they had to be on time because we made the reservation using our credit card and we would be charged.

Finally they made it. We had about 5 minutes to spare so we rushed to CP. DW checked us in and we waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated.

CP is a character buffet and they have something for everyone here. Winnie the Pooh,Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet come around and take pictures and sign autograph books.

Mickey waffle,Scrambled eggs,bacon,breakfast potato and French toast. All very delicious.

DW and I went to the omelette station and i got a sausage and cheese omelette that was very good.

DW got a cheese and pepper omelette. She said it was very good too.

The waitress brought out a birthday cupcake for DD and everyone sang Happy Birthday!! She also got a Birthday card that was signed by the characters at CP.

We all enjoyed this breakfast and had alot of fun taking pictures with Pooh and friends.

We all gave CP 4 out of 5. The food was very good and it was a good start to our day at MK.

Love your DD's zebra ears! I can't wait to try a fancy drink at T-Rex! Too bad the food there is only so so.

We spent a few hours at MK going on as many rides as we could. DSIL'S BF had only been to Disneyworld once when he was 5 so this was all new to him.

Since MK was open late and doesn't serve any alcholic drinks and we were planning on spending all day there we decided to take the monorail to the Poly Resort and get my favorite drink...

The Lapu Lapu.

All the adults Except for DW got the Lapu Lapu. DW got a sunken treasure. We took our drinks outside and found a table where we could sit down and relax and enjoy our drinks.

The Poly is my favorite Resort. I just feel so relaxed and at peace as soon as I step inside.

When we finished our drinks and were feeling just fine we headed back for the monorail to MK so we could go to Casey's Corner for some hot dogs and fries.

DW got a Chicago Dog and didn't care for it. She ate the topping but said she didn't like the dog.
I got the pulled pork barbecue (not sure if that's the name)dog. I really liked this hot dog and would definately get it again.
As you can see the kids just got dogs with ketchup.

This is a good counter service and we would all come here again.
