Celebrating Birthday...not on birthday?

We are going to Disney in February, and it will be my DD's first time there. We will be there for 8 days, and checking out 3 days before her third birthday. I'm sure we will be celebrating her birthday. Can/Will Disney do anything special, even though it won't "officially" be her birthday?

We've been to WDW several times on my DD's actual b-day. I have never counted on Disney to do anything special for free. I just plan it myself.

What I've done is bring mylar balloons from home(I found Disney princess b-day themed ones) & had the front desk inflate them with helium early in the morning before she woke up. I also brought Disney b-day themed decorations & decorated our room.

We took an Illuminations Celebration Cruise on her b-day & I preordered a cake which was delivered to our boat prior to our arrival. It was fantastic.

We did get the FREE b-day button for DD to wear on her actual b-day, although lots of people don't wear them on the actual day. I've read though, that some people aren't sure what Disney's procedure will be about the buttons in 2009 due to the new "Celebrations" theme.

Hope you all have a wonderful trip!

I do not think they do anything special. If you stay on property I think they send you a card and ballons. When you go to the park you can get your DD a birthday pin.

We will be staying on property, at the All-Star Movies resort. I think the balloon idea is great. So if I ask the front desk, they will inflate the balloons?
