Celebrating Birthday in the park - restaurants? Cakes?

Hi -

We are Disney folks who've never been to Universal. We are looking to extend a quick spring break trip and stop in orlando for a couple nights and visit universal - so happens this is in March the weekend between two of our daughters' birthdays and would love to SURPRISE them with this entire stop as well as make it all about their birthdays (turning 11 and 13).... any suggestions? I've done birthday at disney with a custom cake, can I do anything at Universal?

Last birthday I did at Universal I brought Avengers candles and stuck them in a big pink donut. But that was for my 3 year old granddaughter not an 11 and 13 year old.

When they get older I'll do something much nicer - probably 3 big pink donuts stacked as tiers.

It was amazing... at the lowes hotel they live them a card and balloons. They also have a button at guest relations. Everywhere you go people tell you happy birthday even sing to them. At rides they sometimes announce it over the speaker.

Not many options in the park for a cake to be delivered, CPanther95 had a good idea with the big pink donut and candles......

Many restaurants will happily make any dessert on offer a birthday event with a candle and such if you let them know.

If you are staying onsite at the Loews hotels you can order a cake and other birthday items from a list of amenities you can purchase. There is a link to the Amenity list on the RPR stickie on the first page. I’ve had surprise cakes twice from RP and they are beautiful.......

On occasion they will put some items in the room if you let them know in advance it’s a birthday. Hotel desks and guest services have birthday buttons.
