Celebrating Birthday at Christmas

We are going on a Disney Cruise Dec 18-23rd, and will drive up to Orlando to finish off our vacation at Disney World. My son's birthday is on the 26th. Has anyone else celebrated a birthday in DW and had a custom cake ordered ahead of time to be delivered either at your resort/hotel.... or the restaurant you might be planning on having your birthday dinner at in DW??? I would really love to make this super special for my son. Thought it might be really fun to have a custom Mickey Cake made for him and brought to the restaurant we have dinner at.
If anyone knows of any custom cake companies in the Orlando/Kissimmee area... can you link their website? Thank You so much in advance!

i have celebrated a few birthdays at disney. Are you eating at a WDW resort restaurant? if so, then you will have to got through their rather confusing and time consuming cake line. You MUST do it in advance - i don't know how far in advance but a few days at least. Are you staying at a WDW resort? if so, be sure to get a birthday pin AND put the DATE of his birthday on his pin. Many people "celebrate" their birthday at Disney, no matter when it is, but if you put the date then CM will know it is the exact/close day and may get special treatment at times. That being said, i have a december 30th birthday and have spent it 3 times at Disney and nothing special came my way (for the most part) - i am not complaining it was a GREAT time, but i went with my son and my mom on their birthday last year (in february) and when they rode SPeedway they got out a special happy birthday thing to put on the car - super neat. but early february they had the time for it vs the xmas/new years crowds. OH - and go online and order him a birthday hat - my mom ordered them cute brthday cake hats which they wore that were very noticeable - highly recommend. Have a great time!
