Celebrating 9 days with my 4 kids(7,6,4,2)May 2009, I know I'm late starting this TR

Great update :thumbsup2 My son (2 1/2) would love the leggo store! We have never been to DTD before. Hope to go on our next trip!

Your rice krispie treats look amazing!!! That alone is a reason to go!

Sorry to hear your car is broken again. Can't wait to read about the boy's pirate adventures :lovestruc

Thanks. I will probably do the update tomorrow. My DH is working from home today and I don't want to aggrevate him by hogging the computer with my DIS addiction.

I'm loving all your photos. Your children are absolutely beautiful!

Great TR! I'm really enjoying it.... Thanks for sharing!:goodvibes

Thanks. You are so kind. Do you have a bald DH too? I noticed your TR name. I will just have to go and take a look at it.

I know this does not have to do with my Disney vacation, but thought I would share what happened at my baby appointment last Friday.

I went in for the routine first visit. The one where they do the lower extremity ultrasound to see if they can see the baby. The one where you have to have your butt hanging off the table, and your still not scooted down far enough. Anyhow, the first thing the doctor said to me was, "Ok. Don't freak out, but there are two sacs. I only see one baby though." So then I started freaking out and asking him what all this means. Am I pregnant with twins? or is it one baby? He tells me I was pregnant with twins and am probably miscarrying the one that he couldn't see. This is known as "vanishing twin syndrome". I go back in next Monday morning to have another ultrasound and see if that is what is happening. He said there is a slight chance that they may see the other baby if it was just too small to see, but more than likely the empty sac will just be reabsorbed back into my body and won't even be there on the next ultrasound. I will keep you all posted. All I know is that I am definitely sicker this time around. I never really had morning sickness with the others, but I have all day sickness with this one. Has this happened to any of you?

Wow! I hope that your results today are whatever you wanted. I know I had very ambivalent feelings about having twins at first. I never wanted twins but it was really a blessing for me because I wanted more children, but I don't think my husband would have been on board for more than 2 (certainly he cut me off after Elena and Viviana arrived!).

This is how I found out we were having twins. My doctor, during my first OB visit tried to get fetal heart tones even though it was too early to get those because I think she wanted to break out the ultrasound. (She is my boss and we don't charge for ultrasounds in our clinic anyway) Well, there was a line straight across the sac :scared1: and then we saw baby b do a little somersault. What is interesting is that I had a quick ultrasound when I had bleeding just 2 weeks earlier showing just one sac and heart beat. I will be anxiously awaiting your results! :flower3:

:flower3: hoping that your results goes as planned on Monday and that you get some resting time to put your feet up. Sickness is not a nice feeling especially when it lasts all day. I had this with all my pregnancies lasted until around 16 weeks with DS, 20 weeks with DD1 but unfortunatley I had this for the duration with DD2. You'll know all the tales about what to eat and what is supposed to help but I found flat coke worked really well.

Ok, you look way to young to have a 20 year old!! Your family is beautiful. Out of your two older children I can't tell which one is the 20 year old. They both look like they are old enough to be 20.

You guys probably will have a lot of fun at Typhoon Lagoon. I am excited for you!

Thanks for the compliment, but my body sure does feel old--even older than my 43 years:rotfl:
My dd is 20, and ds is only 14, but he is much taller than dd!! We are all excited to try a water park. I think with the heat it will be very nice:thumbsup2

What a surprise at the Doctors office. Hope everything goes well for the rest of your pregnancy. I feel your pain on the sickness thing. I dont miss any of that. Hope it passes soon!

I pray that everything is okay! :goodvibes My OB always said morning sickness is a great thing because it's an indication that the hormone levels are high. Keep us posted if you can!

Love the update with the Lego store! Looks like fun!

I hope everything turns out ok with the baby. Make sure to keep us posted!

Just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you and hoping that all is okay. Morning sickness can be very rough. I had it with both of my daughters but not my son. In fact, I planned a trip to Disney when I was pregnant so that I could be distracted from feeling sick! My DH and I always joke that we will end up with twins if we try for baby #4 - they run in my family. Please keep us posted!

It will be next Monday before I go back, I wish it was yesterday!! Do you remember how far along you were? I was 7 weeks when I went in last Friday, so I will be 8 1/2 weeks when I go back in next Monday. Did you get a lot of ultrasounds in your clinic since you worked there? That would be so much fun. Thanks for the well wishes, at this point I am not sure what I want. I am trying not to think about it until I go back in and no for sure what is going on.

It will be next Monday before I find out anything. I should have clarified that. I hope my sickness doesn't last as long as yours did. Thank goodness my other pregnancies were not that bad. That is funny about the flat coke. I would never think to drink it flat. I have found that the syrupy drinks like coke, root beer etc. help me better than the clear ones.

Thanks for all the kind words.

It's funny how our body ages, but our brain always feels the same age. In my head I still feel like I could possible do things I did at 18, but then I quickly realize I am not as flexible as I thought.

I pray that everything is okay! :goodvibes My OB always said morning sickness is a great thing because it's an indication that the hormone levels are high. Keep us posted if you can!

Thanks. I will keep reminding myself that the morning sickness is a good thing! ;) I will let you know what happens when I go back next Monday.

Holy Cow!!! :scared1:

LOL!

I bet your DH is thinking he's MR STUD right now!

:rotfl:HaHa, this had me cracking up. That is about how I looked at the doctor's office. :scared1::rotfl:

Sent you a PM.

I'm Praying that everthing is OK.

Thanks, you are so sweet!!

I will let you know what happens after my next visit. I still have to wait another week. This is going to be the longest week of my life. :goodvibes

That is funny. You probably would end up with twins. We joked about it too, because they do run in my family. My parents have 18 grandkids and have been waiting for someone to get pregnant with twins. That is funny that you only had the morning sickness with the girls. I thought about going to Disney to distract as well, but DH is not about to fork over the money right now.

That happened to us with DD. I hope everything is ok with your babies! Twins would be wonderful!

I think I was about 7 weeks at the first US that saw only one sac and 11 weeks or so at the one that suggested twins. If you have twins you will have a lot of USs! I never printed out the ones from the clinic because the machine here doesn't have great resolution - we use it mostly to see the heart beating and also presenting part. However, if you have twins starting at about 24 weeks you will get enough professional USs to paper the babies' room! I stopped having them print out the pictures! They do that to make sure both babies are growing adequately. The thing to remember is if you have twins is that they tell you all the bad things that could happen. I was prepared for premature babies (my first came 3 weeks early), but I had to be induced at 39 and 1/2 weeks with the twins. I had an easy vag birth. I wasn't really too uncomfortable until the last 4 days no gestational diabetes or PIH like with my first. I have two friends that also had full term uncompliczted twin pregnancies as well.

I think you will end up wanting whatever you get. I will stay tuned for next week!

Well you ended up with a beautiful daughter. All that matters is that my baby/babies are healthy.

Thanks for letting me know that a lot of twin pregnancies make it full term. I am the kind of person that always freaks out about the worst that could happen. This is going to be the longest week of my life.

Alright, I will finish up my TR now. I have been putting it off because I kind of don't want it to end. Don't worry, even if this is the end of my TR, I will still give an update next week after my appointment.

So, where were we? We awoke on our final day, departure day. We all had that dread in our stomach. The one where you have had so much fun and your still not ready to leave, even if it has been 9 days of Disney. I wonder if anyone is ever ready to leave Disney World. I look at my sweet children and almost want to cry. Then I think to myself, we will come back. DH wakes up and says he doesn't want to call for our car to be jumped off just yet. He was afraid that if they started it, and we turned it off, that it would die again. So we called and asked them to come at 12:30. The boys had their Pirate Cruise at 11:00 and it lasted 2 hours so we decided 12:30 in case it took a while for the maintenance crew to get there. DH said he would wait with the car until the boys got done.

Well the boys got up and were super excited. I had read about the Pirate Cruise on Tour Guide Mike and thought it would be something my kids would enjoy. It is a two hour adventure and it includes lunch, a pirate bandana, and they get treasure at the end. It was like $18 a kid, which I didn't think was bad, so I scheduled it a couple of weeks before our trip. The ages were 4-12. I wasn't sure if Donald(DS4) would go since no adults were allowed, so I only scheduled the older two boys. As I got the boys ready, I started panicking that Donald(DS4) might get mad that his older brothers were going on an adventure without him. Thank goodness when we got to the area that you sign the kids up, Donald(DS4) didn't want to go. He didn't want to wear a life vest, and wearing a life vest was required.

Here are Lego(DS6) and Goofy(DS7) ready for their pirate adventure

and here is the pirate boat

There were probably about 15 kids total. This is the captain of the ship, leading the kids on their journey.

They loaded the boat, and were on their way to follow the clues until they found the treasure chest.

Goofy(DS7) told me that they went to POFQ, some island, and to DTD while following the clues. I believe they had to do a little digging in the sand as well. I also know that they each had to have a partner to be sure that no one got lost. After following the clues, they are brought back to POR where they find the treasure box in the foyer of the hotel.

They found the treasure box

and everyone got a bag with some goodies.

I had Goofy(DS7) hold up some of the stuff. It was mostly party favor type toys and some candy. Of course a lot of it was jewel themed.

I asked the boys all sorts of questions, but you know boys.... all I got were one word answers. Did you have fun? Ya. Where did you go? around. Do you like your treasure? yes. What did you eat for lunch? sandwich, chips. Did you do anything exciting? we saw another pirate ship. Ok, so the last one was a five word answer. Anyway, after much coaxing I did find out that they had a lot of fun and here lately they have been asking to do it again. If you are thinking about doing it, I know that there are like five resorts that do pirate cruises. You don't have to leave from POR. I thought it was a good price for two hours and all the stuff they got as well.

I am sure you are probably wondering what we did during this two hours. Well, we sat and ate lunch at the dining hall. We had already packed up our stuff since check out was 11:00. So we also walked around the shops and DH went back to wait on the car to get fixed. They were able to jump the car off again, but DH didn't want to turn it off in fear that we would never get it back on. We made it home and my battery has been horrible ever since. I probably really need to get a new battery now because my car dies all the time. If one of my kids leaves a light on, it will be dead in 10 minutes. It died on me the other day while waiting in car rider line to pick up the boys. I blame everything that happened to my battery on the intense heat, and never turning my car on for over a week.

Well, I guess this concludes my TR. I don't know what to do now. Am I supposed to send something to a moderator so they can move it to the finished TR thread?

Anyhow, I appreciate all of you reading along with me. I really feel like I know each of you, and am so glad to have made some new DIS friends. I hope that one day I will be able to meet some of you in person in the magical world of Disney!!! I can't wait to read about all of your adventures coming up so soon. Please, TAKE ME WITH YOU!! I will squeeze in your luggage. You will never know I am there. Just kidding!! We shall all continue on with our Disney obsessions and see each other again on other trip reports. Ta Ta for now!!
