Woo Hoo! We are back! Ok really I am not so excited about it, in Fl it was 70 here it is 20. there it was sunny, here it is snowing! Not what i really wanted to come home to but it made vacation even better to know that all the people here were cold and i was wearing shorts and a tshirt!(evil laugh) I know that sounds cruel when I read it back to myself ,but doesn't it make those of you feel better when you go on vacation and come back to know you really did escape the nasty weather and double benifited from your trip! Well it does me! Since I am back I thought I would share my vacation with all my fellow disers! So here you go!


We were off to the WOrld on Black Friday! Yes, I even skipped the shopping, well pretty much, minus being at Wal-Mart at midnight the night before and online shopping, I skipped it, and that is a pretty big deal for my family we have always, as long as I have been married taken a 2 day thanksgiving shopping trip but this year we were on the road by 7 Pm to go celebrate my parents 40th anniversary. When we started talking about what we were going to do for thier anniversary my brother says " we need to have a party for them i guess" I say " Mom would rather go on a trip" Mom says " Can we go to Disney" and the rest was history!

Mom & dad - Celebrating 40 years of marriage on Dec 5! This was thier 2nd trip to WDW. They went a couple of years ago against my dad's better judgement with my family and had a GREAT time so they were looking forward to giong back except that my dad wasn't excited about leaving home this time of the year because my entire family heats with outdoor wood burning furnaces. So he had his reservations. But mom had none! except whether we would all live through a Disney vacation planned by me for 7 days!

My Brother and his family - John (bro), Stacey (AKA Kelly, my SIL, celebrating her 39th birthday Dec 27, so we celebrated it while there to!) Kenzi, 17 year old bookworm, Kota, 15 year old critic and outdoors lover and Sam, 10 year old killjoy as his brother puts it, stressed out kid as I put it. They had been to Disney 1 time in Feb when sam was 1 and it was cold and unplanned and they did not have a good time, to much crowd and all that. Not big lovers of crowds or Disney but will they have a good time?? That was the BIG ?????? of the trip!

Mom on the left, then my DB and SIL and the next 3 kids sitting are theirs them DH and I standing and DS sitting on the ens my DD is asleep in the stroller!

Then my family - 4th trip in 4 years , 6th since my son was 2 (he is now 11). My daughter has been every year since she was born.Our bathroom is Mickey themed, our DVD collection is Disney, our favorite things are princesses and Mickey heads, there are almost more Mickey heads on my Christmas tree than at the Magic Kingdom! I love Disney and my family is following in my footsteps! what can i say I am raising them right.

So off to the world we went! and Here we go!!!! 2nd Star to the right and straight on till morning! Really we drove all night to get there!

Finally after 17 hours in the cars we arrives in Orlando but not yet at WDW. We spent the first 2 nights at The Fountains, which is a Blue Green Resort. Very nice condos, great pools, good location, very close to Sea World and about 3 miles from WDW, I think. Here are some pics if anyone is interested.

We arrived here to early to check in so the kids went to one of the pools, not the one pictured here but a different one, I went to Wal-mart instead of swimming and my camera was packed in the van until we could get a room.It was pizza for dinner then off to bed for me! The next day we spent the entire day doing a lot of nothing! Addi and Gram played in the park,

this was her idea of going across the monkey bars!

It was so nice, we slept in (after going to bed at 630 pm the night before) swam in the outdoor pool,

even did water yoga. No pics of that though!!
After dinner in, Spaghetti and meatballs, enough that we could have fed the entire complex, whoops about that!
We made our first trip to Disney it was

But now it is late and i must go to bed. So there will be more later. It has been a tough long day. After we got home yesterday and went to bed last night our septic backed up in the basement and there was a nice LARGE puddle in the entire basement floor for us to deal with today and i have to finish putting everytihing back still tomorrow and it is all back to the grind for school and all that good stuff! So sleep is needed but up next.....
