Celebrating 40 at WDW in Sept

As you can see, I'll be celebrating my 40th bday in style at WDW in September. My husband wanted to surprise me with a spa treatment at the Grand Floridian but of course I ruined it (that's what he gets for suddenly becoming interested in our vacation plans ). Has anyone been to the Spa? What did you have done? I'm mostly worried about the money. I'm usually not very extravagant (sp?) at least on myself. I also thought about doing the Hair Salon. I really need a haircut . Anyone been there . I just consider the trip my bday present. It's just the 3 of us going (he'll take DS and go do something fun while I get the royal treatment). What other things could I do to celebrate for myself? (We are doing Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast for my bday). A princess should hang with other princesses on her bday . Thanks.

Happy Birthday a little early.

I celebrated my 40th birthday in September 3 years ago. It was a wonderful day!! We left the kids at home though, so it was just a week for me and DH at WDW!

We started the day with breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and the Mad Hatter saw the "I'm 40" button my DH made me wear and all throughout breakfast, no matter where he was in the restaurant, he'd yell out "40!" and point to me. It was a hoot!!

We then did a couples massage at the spa at the Grand Floridian. It was only my second massage ever in my life. It was glorious and so relaxing.

We then swam for a few hours and ended the day with dinner at Yachtsman.

Throughout the day, my DH had little cards and gifts for me. It was truly a magical day.

So I hope yours is just as magical!

One more thing - DH made a big sign for our resort door (poster paper made into the number 40) with instructions for those who walked by to sign it and say where they were from. We left it up all week and had signatures from other guests all over the world. It made for a fun keepsake.
