Over 300 flowers later, my mickey topiary is finished! I decided to just do a mixture of pastel petals with a hint of pink scattered throughout. Pink may be my favorite color but I don't want it to look like a bottle of pepto-bismol was poured over the entire ceremony.
Although, I could take a page out of Shelby's (Julia Roberts in 'Steel Magnolias') playbook; "My colors are blush and bashful!"

It was super easy! I just wired 2 smaller foam balls on top for the ears and used hot glue to attach the flowers and.... Voila!
(I did find that the tighter I bunched the flowers, the better and more "full" it looked!)

Ok, folks! It's not gonna get any closer than this!!

I can't say enough about the staff at Seno Formal Wear!! I searched every tux store in my surrounding area and they are the only ones who went above and beyond to find me this, darn near, perfect match!! It's from a line called "Aurora". (How apropos to have the name reflect one of the Disney princesses!) It must be fate!
Now, this particular color had been discontinued LAST year! So, they had to call their warehouse and see if they could scrounge one up for me.
Who needs a fairy godmother when you've got a sweet, young sales associate with an epiphany?!?!
AND (drum roll please) the winning color choice is simply named, "Pink". Can you believe it? After Bubblegum and Blush and Rose, the fortuitous shade is called PINK?!?!
Not light pink. Not dark pink. Just pink! You've got to be kidding me!

I'm afraid I can't take credit for the flip flops. A lady I know made them for me. She also made me these (my initial with "Bling" on a Mickey silhouette) to wear by the pool. Isn't she fantastic?!?! She just started a business and she makes tons of other fabulous items.....like these luggage tags!

Oh boo, I was hoping to see you all dressed up...guess we'll have to wait to see the pics. Speaking of, I LOVE your Mickey topiary!! I made a pomador for my wedding too and hung it up over us in the Gazebo

We probably had the simplist wedding ever, but it was so intimate and fun (We had a sunrise wedding at the Gazebo at Shades of Green, and then reception breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe) Just me, my DH and two teen sons! The second pic is of us laughing because I forgot DHs wedding ring in the resort room, which, luckily was right by the Gazebo!

LOVE the pics! Thanks so much for sharing! You guys look so happy and I LOVE your pomander! I can't believe my vacay "officially" starts in 30 days! I'd better get busy. I still have my pomander and 2 ring bearer pillows to make! Are you just doing the cruise? or will you be visiting the parks as well? We are staying at Music for 4 days after we disembark!

Finally had time to finish our pomander tonight! Now, I need to get started on those Cinderella "glass slipper" ring pillows. Only 27 days left!

Finally got one of the ring bearer pillows done! The materials came from Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Store so the cost for EVERYTHING was very minimal... only about $6 each!! I drilled holes in the shoe and stitched it to the pillow, glued different sized rhinestones, and stitched silver tassels on all 4 corners and..... Voila!
Also put a lil hidden mickey on the heel of the Cindy shoe.
