Hi! After reading so many neat PJs, I have decided to start one, too. :cutie:

About Us:

DF and I met in pharmacy school and we began dating during the end of our 3rd year. Our relationship pretty much started out as a long-distance one because about a week after we began dating, we started our year of rotations and were always in different parts of the state. We talked every single night on the phone and got to see each other about every other weekend. We moved to the same city a few weeks before graduation, so it was nice to finally be able to spend a lot more time together. Then, exactly a year after our first date and a few days before graduation, my DF proposed. :lovestruc

The Proposal:

I love our proposal story because it was so unexpected/cute/random! We had gone out to eat dinner and as we were leaving the restaurant (I was driving), my fiance opened up a bag of chocolate-covered Mickey Mouse pretzels. All of a sudden, he started telling me in a kind-of panicked voice that he was about to drop a handful of pretzels and that I needed to take them. :confused3 I told him that I was driving, so I couldn't take them. Then, the next thing I knew, he was shoving a bunch of chocolate pretzels in my hand with an engagment ring sitting on top. Let's just say I found a parking lot to pull into very quickly. :lmao: He asked me to marry him, and I was so excited and surprised that it almost didn't even seem real. In fact, I was so caught off-guard that for a split-second I wondered if he was trying to pull some kind of joke (we love to joke with and prank each other). I said, well....shouted ;) YES! DF said that since we couldn't be at WDW when he wanted to propose that he had to find SOMETHING Disney to include in the proposal. When he's told the proposal story, a lot of people have told him that it wasn't very good :sad2:, but I thought it was absolutely perfect for us and very sweet. :lovestruc

Our wedding is going to be May 7, 2012 on Shipwreck Beach, and our reception is going to be at Ariel's! The overall theme is "Under the Sea/The Little Mermaid." :goodvibes

chocolate covered pretzel engagement? i'm sold! :lmao: congratulations :goodvibes

YAY!! :yay: So excited you decided to start a PJ!!

I love your engagement story, I think it's so cute!! I love personal moments like that and all that matters is that you loved it!! :goodvibes

Thank you!! After reading your PJ and several other PJs, I decided I wanted to join in on the fun, too.

I went to a bridal shop in my area the last week of August and ordered the Alfred Angelo Cinderella gown. I had first tried it on back in June, but I waited a while to order it because I wanted to be 100% sure it was the one I wanted. When I ordered it, they told me that it would be in around Christmas. Even though I would have plenty of time to have any alterations made if I need them, I have been secretly hoping it would come in early so I can try it on again. :rotfl:

Sure enough, I got a VM message today saying that it has arrived!! I'm surprised it took LESS THAN 2 MONTHS! :yay: The only downside is that I won't be able to pick it up until Tuesday. :sad2: Regardless, it's an unexpected treat! :cutie:

DF and I are having a Wishes wedding with about 30 guests (family and a few close friends). Our colors are aqua blue and hot pink.

My bridesmaid dresses are from J Crew. They look a little darker in the picture, but they're a really bright aqua color.

I still haven't found dresses for my flower girl or junior bridesmaids, but I think I'll have a better chance of finding what I want in early spring. DF, the groomsmen, and ring bearer are all going to wear khaki pants and white button-down shirts with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. DF and I, as well as our wedding party, are all going to go barefoot on the beach.

Rehearsal Dinner:
As long as I can get reservations, we plan on doing Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare for our rehearsal dinner. I'm going to call and try to make the reservations at exactly 190 days out, but I have heard it gets booked very quickly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. ;)

Room Block:
We chose the Beach Club, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Pop Century Resort for our room block. DF and I will be staying at the Beach Club, which is my favorite Disney resort. :goodvibes Most of our guests have decided to stay at the Beach Club, as well.

wow on your dress coming in so early, but that is great!!! Love your BM dresses, too! Ours are the same material, so flowy and beach-y! :goodvibes

We are hoping to do the same thing with Ohana- were you told 190 days or do you mean 180 and that is a typo? Or are you going down and checking in ten days before the wedding?? Just making sure I'm on top of making our res too!!

The more I think about our block I wonder if instead of BW, BC and Pop we did CBR instead of BW. Too late now I guess. Have you had good reactions for your hotel choices?

Thanks!! I wish we were checking in 10 days before the wedding! :rotfl: I had read that if you have already made resort reservations, you can actually make dining reservations at 180+10=190 days out. I talked to someone at Disney dining reservations, and they confirmed this. :) Our wedding planner told us that we would need to call the group dining reservations number directly. I kind of got the impression that I would need to be up and ready to call at 7 am or we might not get reservations. I hope it's not THAT difficult to get reservations.

All of our guests seem very happy with our resort choices. My little cousin is going to be our ring bearer and he is very excited because they are going to be staying in one of the pirate rooms at the CBR. pirate: I think you picked great resorts! I really like the BW. We just chose the CBR and Pop so we would have one resort in each category.

We plan on keeping our ceremony decor pretty simple since our wedding is going to be on the beach. I want to have hot pink rose petals scattered down the aisle, and we would really like to have a small canopy to stand under if it's not too expensive. The only other ceremony decoration we are going to have is aqua blue tulle tied in a bow with a starfish on each end-chair.

DF and I decided to do a customized breakfast buffet for our reception at Ariel's. Here is what we have come up with (at least for now ;)):

Oatmeal
Cream cheese danishes and other pastries
Fresh fruit (watermelon, grapes, pineapple, strawberries, etc)
Scrambled eggs
Bacon
Hash browns (with ketchup)
Biscuits (with grape & apple jelly and gravy)
Breakfast ham
Cinderella’s Royal Table stuffed french toast with blueberry compote
Mickey Mouse waffle station (with syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar)
Crystal Palace breakfast lasagna

After searching through TONS of pictures, I FINALLY found centerpieces that are absolutely perfect. :goodvibes These were actually on the DFTW blog. I'd like to have a bigger version of this one with a few starfish scattered around it.
