Cds or High yield savings account, what sort of FDIC insured options are looking good?

The delta between our preferred deposit and a <1 year CD are fairly close (<.5%). For that difference, I'll take the liquidity and ability to continue to watch rates.

I have most of the emergency fund in a money market fund. The rest is laddered in 3 month US Treasuries.

Basic FDIC savings accounts. One account at local credit union. Other account has in-person banking branches in all 50 States. We like liquidity & quick access.

i tell dh i won't do online banks b/c i want a brick and mortar local to us to be able to storm with pitchforks and torches if the need presents itself seriously though-i clearly remember when the whispers about washington mutual collapsing were happening and we could not get through to anyone on their phone lines so i drove into the very small town near us with a branch only to see a line out the door and down the street of customers.
