Hi,
We are thinking of going on a Halloween cruise on the Magic 7-day and wondering where you booked your cruise. Who seemed to have the best deals? I am worried about travelling in Oct. with hurricane season so we are definitely going to get trip cancellation insurance. Who have you noticed offers the best rates? The trip cancellation rate offered by Disney seems high.
I would love to know how we can save $$$ since we travel a lot to Florida and any $$ we can save always helps!
Thanks so much!

I always book thru DCL.

This way there is no middle man to deal with. Any questions, you go directly to the source. If you deal with a TA, they have to resolve any issues.

As for insurance, we are covered thru work.

Maybe someone else can help you there.

We booked through CAA. The price was good, and we got a shipboard credit as well. The insurance was reasonably priced from them, too. Best of all, they had no problem with giving me my reservation number so I can log in to the DCL website, and make my own cruise plans.

We have booked both of our cruises through DCL (one onboard) and it was so easy and great to be able to handle everything yourself. We booked first by phone and then cancelled and booked online to take advantage of a onboard credit deal last year for our first cruise. I don't think I would ever do it any other way unless the deal of the century came along and was only available through a TA.

For our wedding cruise in Aug/Sept, we booked through Dreams Unlimited. By far the cheapest rates if you book early. Didn't get the insurance so I'm crossing my fingers. The way I look at it is that if the cruise is cancelled then I have bigger problems (ie. Wedding) lol. :rotfl2:

In the past I have booked directly with DCL.

Booked crusie thru Dream Unlimited. Shopped around everywhere and they were about $200 cheaper than next best.

Insurance I am convered with Medical thru work and usually do not buy anything else. But since I did not want weather etc to make us miss the boat, bought RBC Insurance Trip Cancellation only. Cost about $150 for all three of us.

Just got my Docs yesterday. Yippee!!!!
