Completely agree. The cruise industry in the US is tied to foreign government's decisions on allowing their cruise ships to dock in their ports. You'd think the foreign governments would want the tourism revenue the cruises bring in, but they don't seem to care a ton about that right now anyways.

Yet the let people fly in and stay in their resorts for days. Maybe cruise passengers aren’t that profitable.

I would agree with you if they shut down the resorts are stopped people from flying in. Maybe they have I just haven't read about it. If the ports won't let them dock then the CDC dropping the CSR means nothing really.

Those countries are mostly unvaccinated and have weak hospital systems. They cannot risk a total collapse of their public health systems.
