We will be staying 2 nights in March after our VB trip.

We will be 5 adults and need a 2BR. DH wanted to try one of the 3 remaining resorts we haven't tried, and since DS is a big national park enthusiast, we chose WL.

Originally I chose CCV since it is much newer and probably less "worn." However, as I look at the pictures comparing the two, it seems that the main room in the CCVillas is very narrow in the living space.

For those who have stayed at both, does the CCV living room feel as narrow as the pictures portray, or does it have as much room as the BRV living space? The one thing I do like is the ability to sit all 5 of us at the dining table at one time.

For what it is worth, we stayed in a 2BR Jambo right after they opened with 6 of us (4 kids), and it seemed fine at the time.

I have tried looking through the CCV thread, but at 85 pages, it is very daunting to get through. However, I do appreciate everyone who posted pics and videos. Thank you!

I have never stayed at BRV, but the dining table at CCV fit our party of 7 comfortably. I can’t compare the living space but we really enjoy CCV.

There were just two of us but the 1BR common space seemed fine. We could tell it differed from other 1BR’s a bit, but not a big deal. The features and decor of the unit and resort greatly overshadowed any loss of space for us. Your only looking at about 30 more sq ft at BRV (have not stayed).

CCV is converted hotel rooms. So two hotel rooms with one the bedroom and one the living room/kitchen. BRV is built from scratch.

The 2BR and 1BRs in CC do have a smaller and narrower living room, you are right. We stayed in both last year. I have not stayed in WL BR in awhile, but I remember it being larger. (The issue is not the overall square footage, it is where it is allocated.) Meanwhile the bedrooms seemed larger to me. When we were in the 2BR we had 5 adults, and I wished the living room was wider; but we still liked WL CC very much.

But we bought WL BR points this year. I will still book CC sometimes, because I liked being in the main building and the fresh decor.

The first time we stayed in a 1 bd at CCV we loved it because it was new and well decorated. We noticed that it was smaller than BR. There isn't the extra chair in the living room like at BR so the seating will be limited. The table sat 6 nicely. The second time I stayed at CCV it was horrible. We had a room that was noticeable smaller. My friend got compt since it was not anywhere near what the regular 1 bd was like. We commented on how 4 adults would have a hard time standing and moving in the living room. That particular unit needs to be lower in points. The bathroom had to have a pocket door since there wasn't room to open a regular door. It felt like being in a cave too because of the stone foundation outside. Don't take a room with 17 at the end! Besides that bad experience, I would stay there again, but not in that unit.

It was interesting at CC because we had a 1BR for a few days, then moved to a 2BR for a few days (more family was joining us for the second 1/2 of our trip). While the 2 BR is sort of like a 1BR plus a studio, the room layouts were very different. The foyer, kitchen, washer/dryer were in different places. It could have been because for the 2BR we were on the top floor (I think?) where the your balcony was inside the roof line and you need to stand to see out....

Again, I really really love CC. But I would stand in the master BR and wish some of the space in there was out in the living room area. And the larger dresser was in the living room, not the bedroom. All these compromises come from renovating the existing structure vs. new construction, of course, and are not major complaints, just some observations.
