Looking at days & resorts for December 2020 trip. Any educated guesses on the availability of a CCV Cabin for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in early December 2020 for a 7 month reservation?
Though the cabins are often open at 7 months out (even at 60 days out much of the year), there is a real risk they can disappear before 7 months out for the time you want because it is during the first week of December, which is THE highest DVC demand week of the year at WDW. Also, be aware that if you are looking for anything at all anywhere at 7 months at WDW for that week of the year, it has a real risk of being gone, even potentially at SSR. Moreover, if you want time for that week even at your home resort, you should plan on booking at 11 months out -- some things at some resorts can disappear within nano-seconds after 8 a.m. at exactly 11 months out, e.g., you indicate you own at OKW; if you want a GV there for that week, the ones near the Hospitality House are likely to go right at or even before 8 a.m. 11 months out for the start date that you want, .
I think odds are good....BUT the first two weeks of December are the most popular for DVC owners as that is the cheapest and probably most desirable time for members to visit Disney

Now that I’m within 5-6 years of retirement, I’ll need to burn through 30+ days of accumulated sick time/personal time per year, so I was looking at alternative dates (2 weeks before or after school breaks).
We want to do an OKW/CC Cabins 5 night/3 night split stay, so at 11 months I’ll make two OKW reservations for 2 BR HH for 5 nights followed by 3 nights. That way, if a Cabin is available for that part of the trip, I can modify the 3 night reservation. If it isn’t, I’ll try a waitlist. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try to get the two OKW reservations linked since they will be the same room type & location.
A week ago, we got back from a big family trip with 19 people staying in the only 2 Hospitality House Grand Villas at OKW... I’m used to grabbing needed reservations as soon as I possibly can. I’ll set all kinds of alarms and alerts... and cross my fingers.
