Sorry if this has already been asked - and answered - recently. Just booked a cruise in June for 85 year old mother and 3 sisters - all return cruisers - can any one advise if there is still a CC gift delivered to your room?

Thank you all so much for sharing your experience and knowledge.

Just returned Thursday, and it is a towel and 2 pins. Check your towel because ours was dirty. I am glad I checked it b4 we got home. You will also receive an invitation to a cocktail reception, where they set up a small buffet, and provide complimentary wine, fruit juice, and on our cruise Bahama Mamas.

We sailed for the second time last Nov. and we had 2 pins and a Castaway Club towel waiting for us on the bed in our stateroom.

Same CC gifts here, we just cruised three weeks ago.

Can a passenger buy a second towel? The reason I ask is that I will be travelling with my 2 little girls, who tend to be jealous in situations where someone gives us 1 gift to share, and tend to lose little things like pins. How often are the gifts changed? We aren't cruising until 2006. Last cruise, 2000, we got a nice blue totebag, which I still use as a swimming bag. Another question: we were invited to a reception then with snacks and drinks. The invitation was specifically for me and my daughter. My younger daughter hadn't yet joined the family then, so she isn't technically a Castaway Club member. Will she be allowed to attend?

Yes, anyone in your cabin or party can go to the CC Reception with you.

If you and your husband have cruised before (for that matter both our children also, do you get a towel for everyone that has cruised before or one per cabin?

so far, it's been one towel per cabin. That may have changed, but it was one towel and 2 pins on 12/18/04.

grrr...you only get one per cabin????? I thought it was for all that were return cruisers. The Disney rep was sure to update that my son and I were repeats and my sons gf was not. I was assuming we both got a towel and pins....oh well.

i wonder will these "rules" apply to the mexican cruise, as well? please inform if anyone knows. thanx! :flower:

We did receive a blanket, but this was for a special itinerary. We sailed to San Juan (due to the hurricanes). We were originally scheduled for a Western Excursion.

The return cruiser gift has always been one per cabin, not per return cruiser....if it were for return cruiser we would have tons of them since there are five in our family and we have cruised 13 times!!!!

If you have 2 or more cabins on your ressie then each cabin will get a towel and 2 pins (as long as there is a return cruiser in each cabin) and I have not heard of anyone being able to "purchase" these towels but mine did have a price sticker of $20.00 on it when we received one 2 weeks ago.

You can always buy towels in the gift shop...they are many selections and I am sure you could find one to satisfy a little girl....they are about $22 bucks.

...and San Juan as well, I'm wrapped up in my blanket trying to keep warm tonight. We now have over 10.5" of snow, and it is still coming down. The wind chill factor is at 0 to -5 degrees. This special Disney blanket is sure getting used here on the east coast tonight!!!

I would love to find one of those blankets!

Ive been hoping to find one.....
