I was called by my bank this morning at 8.30 ask asking me about my CC transactions. It seems my card has been used a few times in the US for several thousand dollars. I haven't used this particular card for ages, in fact only once since the new chipand pin card came just before christmas. The only time I have used it is to buy my Pemium Annual Pass! Obviously, since they picked it up and because they were internet transactions, we are covered.

Check your CC statements carefully - you don't know WHO has your details!!!

Thats really shocking. I don't know how some people get away with it. At least you were covered :Pinkbounc

Argh what a nightmare.
I had a letter from my bank about my online banking account,it had been suspended due to suspicious activities going on in my account,no money had been taken but they had tried, I was told to check my computer and found that 6people had logged onto my computer, many in America, and Croatia, I then noticed our firewall had been switched off, so Switched it on and it has seemed to help, but it makes you realise how vunerable you are.

Gill and Beth, how worrying.:scared1:

Beth, how can you tell that people have been logging on to your computer?

I have Norton Internet Security, when I clicked on it only by chance, it said your computer was last attacked on with date/time, and then said click on attackers details, it showed a map, and a I:P Address which was in America VA DULLES,I never seen this before, but my computer is new only had it a month, when I fished about I noticed numerous I:P addresses, some in america/croatia etc, then noticed it said security issue firewall switched off, when I switched it off,and logged off,it said no one had attacked my computer since that date and time, but I am still not going to bank online again I've learned a lesson.

When I rang my bank up,he said,to check my pc,and have it cleaned before doing any sort of banking on the internet, especially with this computer, so he must of known how they have done it? I've never known of this before, but he mentioned a weblogger which monitors your websites you are visiting and screen captures all your information, which is very worrying and the worrying thought is they can send this in a simple email, etc.
Everytime I connected, my computer was going mental, and popping different websites up, so I knew something was wrong but I didnt think of anything like this...it is very worrying.

I'm sorry to hear that Gill. Thank Goodness your bank were on the ball.

I'm sorry to say that credit card fraud is a multi million pound industry these days :( (I work in credit management)
