CBS screw up promoting the Amazing Race

CSI Miami WAS on Monday night, wasn't it???

I taped it, and watched it last night. The 1st time a commercial came on promoting the Amazing Race on it's new day and time, I thought I was seeing/hearing things, because it was saying "Catch the Amazing race on it new day and time, tomorrow 8pm/7pm Central."



So, though it stood out to me, that this was a show that aired Monday, and the new day for AR was Wednesday, I still thought I heard it wrong. Then the commercial came on again, later in the show, and this time I paid attention, not only did it SAY tomorrow (from Monday) it had the words at the bottom of the screen "tommorrow 8PM/7pm central"

So, unless I am in the twilight zone, and CSI Miami, which is regularly scheduled for Monday nights at 10PM, and I am pretty certain that is when I taped it, was on Tuesday night instead, CBS promoted the wrong day for AR's NEW day.

I wonder how many people turned on the TV Tuesday night at 8, looking for AR. I know the commercial came on more than 2 times during CSI, all saying the same thing...TOMORROW.

I think there was a CSI on tues night at 9pm cst....the old time of the Amazing Race...so if you taped that, then the promotion of 'tomorrow at 7cst' was correct.

CSI was not on Monday due to Sport stuff. It was on Tues at 10pm and it was a repeat. Tues at 10 was the Amazing Races old time slot.

I saw the commercial on monday. I saw the words flash Wednesday at the bottom of the screen with it's new time and day of Wednesday 7:00 Central., but I didn't hear the announcer. I am glad it is earlier because I could never stay awake. This week though, I was outside, working on the lawn, and I had to quit and run in the house. So, now I am not to crazy with the time change.

CSI Miami was on Tuesday night since Monday was the basketball game. I'm not sure about other stations, but local station was advertising that TAR was moving to Thursday.

Yes, they really messed up with that one. Seemed like they actually had an oops moment where they moved TAR to a better spot (I would love Wed @ 8 vs. Tue @ 10) but forgot to tell the promotions team.

I only heard about the change here. Of course, I have tivo, so I skip most commercials. And the tivo automatically detects changes in lineup so I didn't have to worry about doing it myself.
