Hi all,

the date is getting closer now - we broke this time and have told Katharine (normally she finds out the day we are going).

Interested if anyone has any top tips for CBR as in where to stay, pros and cons etc prior to us sending off a fax in a few months.

It is always good to plan early - we say speaking to the converted

I stayed in Martinique 25 a few years back and found it to have a brilliant location - close to Old Port Royale Centertown, so there's no long trek from your room to fill up your refillable mug! Plus Martinique is within walking distance of the Theme pool plus it has its own quiet pool. Another bonus we found with Martinique is that you can make effective use of its own bus stop as well as the Old Port Royale Centertown one too.

We are going to CBR for our honeymoon this year and are thinking about trying to request Trinidad North - convenient yet smaller than Martinique. But I'd have no problems staying in Martinique again!

I guess one of the best sources of CBR info is the FAQ in the Disney Resorts forum:

We stayed in Jamaica and loved the location. We were first bus stop on most occassions and a stones throw from the quiet pool. Old Port Royale was only a 5 minute walk across Parrot Cay Island. I would request Jamaica again the next time I stay at CBR.

Paul and Shirley.....Hello

I bet Katherine is so excited. We stayed in Martinique 25 before too, it is a great location as Nick has said. We loved the CBR and if it wasn't for our DVC we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

lucky you, our favourite.
Always felt that there was a really nice atmosphere around the main pool area. Loved the others too but if we are to stay on site again we'd pick CBR.
Stayed at Aruba 54 first time and Trinidad North 32 second time.
Aruba was fine and the walk to Old Port Royale was enjoyable.
Trinidad 32 seemed perfect.
Have you looked at a map of the resort http://www.thedibb.co.uk/web/maps/cbrmap.gif
lucky lucky you :wave2:

Hi, I stayed at CBR last October during the half term week.

We got allocated Aruba and was a great location. It is almost opposit Port Royale.

Sometimes what we did at night was get off the bus at Old Port Royale and fill up our drink cups and then walk over the bridge to our room.

Bus service was very good and only had to stand up once and that was after illuminations at Epcot.

The only time we had to wait for another bus to come as it was full was after Wishes at the Magic Kingdom.

It is very close to Epcot. One night it seemed like it only took about 2 minutes to get back!

As you can see from the picture, Epcot is very close to CBR! I was shocked when seeing that picture abot just how close it actually is!!!

We've stayed in Aruba - we enjoyed walking over the bridge, through Parrot Cay to get to Port Royale, although if I was really being picky I'd choose Jamaica as I prefer the colour scheme :teeth:

Martinique & Trinidad North are popular choices for people with young children as they are either side of Port Royale but I liked to just be that bit further away.

Trinidad South is the furthest away from everything and is different in that it is not one of the 'villages' grouped round the main part of the lake.

The colour scheme of Jamaica was the reason we requested staying there.:teeth: ::yes::
