We will be at CBR in just over a week!!! We are very excited to be in WDW for NYE! We are however a little unsure about CBR. We are used to the deluxes, and love all of them. I've never stayed at amoderate. I'd like to know if this resort gives the deluxe feel. Is it a good family resort (2 Dk 2 DA)? Hows the location? Can't wait for trip. THANKS!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I really love CBR. :) I think the grounds and landscaping are beautiful. :) The main difference between it and the deluxe resorts is the exterior corridors and smaller beds. The rooms are quite large, the furnishings are nice, and the bathroom is larger than I thought it would be. :) I think you'll really enjoy your stay there. We were in Martinique, and I liked it because it's close to OPR. :)

We will be there from 12/21-29. Look for lime green ribbon on a visor! We have two rooms with 3 teen boys in one and DH and I in another. We were to spend last 5 days at YC but are bringing a friend....needed 2 rooms and can't afford two at YC. :(

I am disappointed, wanted so badly to be at YC. I am trying hard to just relax and realize the moderates are still way above the competition outside WDW. We stayed at CSR, it was okay, and POFQ last trip and loved PO. I think we will really enjoy the freedom of CBR. Hope you do too. Perhaps we can meet for a drink on the beach and watch the fireworks one night?

LOVE the CBR. The tropical feel, lush courtyards, nice rooms, friendly staff. Wish I was going!

All of you who are going to CBR soon: Please come back and let us know how the new food court and restaurant area is!! Thanks! :)

Someone mentioned that deluxes have larger beds than CBR. If memory serves me, CBR is the only moderate that actually has queen sized beds. That is the same as a standard deluxe room has.

We have done CBR twice and look forward to going back again another trip. I'm also curious to see how the food court has changed. The overall atmosphere is great. Look for the hot tub at the main pool. Might be nice on a cool day or night. Martinique was our choice also because of the closeness to OPR.

Actually, in every place I've read about CBR it's stated that they, like all moderates, feature double beds (and king beds in some rooms)... Wish you were right, though -- it would really be an improvement to be able to sleep in queen beds vs. doubles! I know the rooms are larger than at the other moderates, so they could probably accommodate queens... Maybe someday they will!! :)

Sorry to disappoint, but the beds at CBR are definately not queen sized. My hubbie and I even slept in seperate beds a few times after long days in the parks. We are used to a big bed at home, and just couldn't get comfy. RT

The double beds are a problem for my group also, otherwise we would be staying at CBR. We're all tall adults. That's the main reason I switched to AKL and am spending more money than I want to. We're staying 4 nights, 3 rooms. :(

My husband and I are used to a king bed at home and we had no problem at CBR. I guess I didn't even realize they were double beds until reading this post. That's how uneffected we were by the beds.

I'm glad to hear that. I hope we're not affected by the beds either. We are also used to a king size. When we've stayed off site during other trips, the smaller beds were so hard to get used to.
