Does anyone think Disney will drop the rates while the pool is closed? I am booked at the Pop, but thinking of switching to a Mod. Our first choice (PoFq) is sold out, and our 2nd choice would be CBR, but I really hate the thought of paying the same price to stay there as a mod that has all amenities open. We are going in January, but will still swim every night when we get back. We are swimmers and don't mind the cold air as long as the pool is warm.
Do you think the 'magic' of the resort will be lost without the main pool? Would it be worth staying there if the rate drops with a code? Or look elsewhere?

I dont think you would lose the magic and i seriously doubt they will drop the price i know that from reading that in 2 of the pools they are adding a slide during this time period at 2 of the pools and i believe they are going to have activities so i really doubt you would lose the magic and they are going to drom the price but this is JMO

I agree with disneydance that Disney are unlikely to drop the price... but when we stayed at CBR we usually swam in our village pool, rather than in the main pool anyway. The smaller pools are simple rectangles with no slide, but if you have no kids this may not matter to you! I guess they'll be busier than they were when we were there if the main pool is not open, but if you only want to swim at night, that's less of an issue!

So you could stay there and enjoy lots of magic.. but it would be at full price I think!

I doubt Disney would lower the price. They don't do it when they close a pool at the values. They are adding slides to two quiet pools while the main pool is closed.

I don't think you'll lose any of the magic if the main pool is closed -- we spent 7 nights at CBR in Trinidad 3128 (preferred location, close to main pool) and I never got in the main pool. As a previous poster said, the quiet pools in the villages are great and that's where I seem to end up each time! I think it's because, well, they're quiet! After a long morning or evening at the parks, a little solitude is really nice:) ...

CBR is such a beautiful resort, and there are so many things to do there, I wouldn't miss the main pool at all -- but I know there are others for whom that would be a big inconvenience... just depends what's important to you, I think.
