CBR or POR?

OK experts, please help me out: We are booked at POR (because we couldn't get into POFQ using AAA discount for the week we're going). I'm pretty concerned about the size and the transportation problems I've read about. Today I saw that with a promo code we could switch over to CBR and will save ~$100.00. Is is worth it? Is the transportation system better at CBR? We are travelling w/o kids...does that factor into which resort is better? I stayed at POFQ about three years ago and thought it was nice but nothing spectacular. I'm assuming POR and CBR are about the same, but some posts really hate POR and some posts really hate CBR - and yet some posts feel just the opposite!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

CBR is by far our favorite - we are staying at POR on our next trip at the request of the 7 year old in our family.....plus the theme pool at the CBR is going to be closed...But next trip we will be back at CBR - I love the feel of the Bahamas!!

We love CBR. The pool being closed this year, we decided to stay at WL. I am kinda worried that WL won't feel like Florida though. Florida is supposed to have palm trees and beaches and WL doesn't have any palm trees around. (Although it does have a beach)

CBR is bright, colorful, tropical, beautifully landscaped, and just overall very relaxing. It is a very large resort. Make sure that you make requests for the area you prefer to stay in if you go. We were in Aruba and it was a short hop across the bridges to the food court. You can check out a map of the resort here:

I don't think there is a big difference in the transporation between PO-R and CBR. I stayed at both last year, and they seemed about the same. If you can save $100 by switching, then I'd do it. I prefer CBR.

I stayed at both last year. I think CBR is the most attractive. We experienced good service at both and both were very clean and in good repair. Like PP said, I would consider the transportation to be fairly equal. CBR is large, so if you like strolls to the food court through beautiful grounds, it might be the best choice for you. Both were quiet and the quiet and the quiet pools are great. I liked the food court selection best at POR and it does have the lovely boat ride to DTD.

We loved everything about CBR and we will find out in 13 days everything about POR!
