Currently planning our first trip to WDW with our 1-year-old son this June. We’re planning on one day at Epcot and two at MK. Is it worthwhile to stay at CBR to use the Skyliner for Epcot or would Port Orleans make more sense because it’s closer to MK? We are not planning on renting a car, so we would be relying solely on Disney transport throughout the trip and definitely plan on taking some mid-day nap breaks. Any advice?

Neither Caribbean Beach nor the Port Orleans resorts are particularly close to Magic Kingdom. Both use bus transportation. I would guess the bus ride is not more than a couple of minutes different once you leave the resort. If you are thinking about Port Orleans French Quarter, that resort has one stop, so you would not have the travel time spent stopping at Multiple bus stops, like the other two. I would say go with the resort whose theme and amenities appeal most.

Both of those resorts are a toss up for the buses. They are both large spread out resorts with 4 or 5 internal bus stops.

The distance from the parks really isn't the problem with buses. It's the multiple stops every ride that eats all your time. And the somewhat erratic scheduling of the bus loops in general.

I actually enjoy the buses at the resorts with one stop. AofA & POFQ both have single bus stops.

If those 2 resorts are your choices, I would vote CBR for the skyliner.

Since you are doing 2 days at MK, have you priced the Wilderness Lodge or the Fort Wilderness cabins? I've seen some great prices there during the summer months.

Neither?? For a moderate, I would choose POFQ. It's a small resort so less walking and it has only one bus stop. The food is great and you can't beat easy access to beignets

If POR and CBR are the only choices, I would go with POR because at least it has a lot of shade for walking around to get to food, etc.
