I was just looking at pictures of CBR online and I think it strongly resembles CSR. It appears to be slightly more tropical vs southwestern but the whole set up appears the same....the walkways, the beaches, the hammocks, the "villages", the registration area.

so, can somebody whose been to both tell me....Are they pretty similar?

I thought the rooms at CBR were supposed to be a little larger, true or no?

Thanks!

hi,

the CBR is definately more beachy and the food court there worked much better for my family, it did seem like there were more kids there and more disneyish atmosphere. the CSR seemed more business like and formal to us, not as many mickey's around and the food court had more unique and unusual food that wasnt as easy from my family to choose from...both are great, but i would choose CBR for a more island like atmosphere!!

We've stayed at CSR and loved it and we're booked for next month at CBR because we want to check out all the Disney properties eventually. I wasn't really looking for a "which do you like better" kind of thing.....I just couldn't help but notice that the set up seems quite similar to CSR.

We live in FL so the whole "tropical" thing doesn't do much for us.

I've stayed in both and liked both. A slight advantage to CBR for a better food court. I think the pool is "cooler looking" at CSR, and I really liked the piped in music at both. As for architecture, look closely at POR and it's the same, too. That's why I prefer the mansions over AB. AB is too plain and just like CSR and CBR. My overall "themeing" vote goes easily to the mansions section of POR, but I"d stay in any of the three again gladly.

Yes CSR resembles CBR. CBR was built first. I prefer the pool at CSR but like the layout better at CBR. They are both great resorts but I like the food court better at CBR.

I guess I do have a question which is:

Are we going to feel like we are returning to the same resort (csr) that we were at last year or will we feel like we have gone to a totally different place?

You'll feel at a different place. The layout is more or less the same (except for check-in, which in CBR is made in a separate building called the Customs House), but you'll definitely feel you are someplace else. CBR was the first moderate built; their rooms are the largest among the Moderates (though not by much).

I love both, but to me CSR is little more 'adult'. Request a room in Martinique if you want to be close the the Food Court (Old Port Royale-OPR), or in Jamaica if you want a little more quiet (but it's still quite close to the OPR).

Have a great time!

I think CSR has a totally different feel from CBR. It's very Spanish, from the background piped in music in common areas to the pool area decor. Very Mexican Riviera. CBR is much more island-y to me, more trees, beaches and brighter colors.
