Looks like Trinidad is a long walk from the Skyliner. Is there a way to avoid getting a room there? We stayed in Aruba once and would really prefer that. Any tricks?

Why not call and put in a request for the building you’d like to stay in. Can also mention you’d prefer not to be in that specific building. No guarantees, but doesn’t hurt to try. Good luck.

The walk from Trinidad is also just across a bridge so is not bad to the skyliner when we did it in February

OH...had no idea about the bridge. Also, didn't think about the Pirate Rooms. And definetly don't need a pirate room!

Definitely put in a request but as others have said, Disney purposefully made the pirate rooms in the Trinidad section to help “sell” them. They aren’t far from the skyliner but they are far from the Old Port Royale. Unless you have someone that’s itching to stay in a pirate room, I’d stay away from them. If location is critical, you can also guarantee your location if you upgrade to a preferred location room. Requests are just that and depending on when you stay, they may not be able to accommodate.
