Cayman-Captain Marvin's-then what?

We have booked Captain Marvin's half-day for Grand Cayman. But then what? How good is the beach near where the tenders dock? Can we grab chairs and umbellas on a beach anywhere near, plop dad and the kids, then shop nearby? Other ideas? Did the afternoon feel rushed?

Bump - We are doing the same thing (Carla - are you doing the 10:00am also?) and would love to hear what anyone who's done this has to say.

Is it possible to get dropped at 7-mile beach instead of going back to town? Is there enough time to be worth it? Would there be enough time to go back to town and then catch a cab to the turtle farm?

By the time we finished 3 hours of snorkling and being out in the hot sun we couldn't wait to just get back to the ship , shower and kick back awhile. They didn't drop anyone off anyplace but back at the office so I am not sure if they would drop you off someplace...you could email them from their website and they would tell you....

I don't know how much this will help because it's theory and not practice for another month....

I am on the earliest 2 hour snorkel with Captain Marvin's . I will be leaving DH and DD behind on the ship. They will meet me on the pier around 11:30 or so, and we'll go off to the turtle farm together. I am really looking forward to my day in Grand Cayman!!!

After our tour with Captain Marvins. we went to lunch and then had a small amount of time to shop in town prior to returning to the ship. It was a full day and we really enjoyed ourselves.

We shopped from the office back to the pier. The kids had to hit Del Sol since they'd seen it in Key West, and I wanted a pin at the hard rock. Also got some chocolate rum cake. The last tender leaves at 4:30 so it did seem a little rushed to me.

How were the other sites Marvin's stopped at. Did you all walk to and from their office-dock? Long trek to shopping?
