Here is a summary of us until now (less than three months to go!)
I wanted to go back and edit my first planning post to introduce myself. I just resently found this site and am towards the end of my planning so I got a little ahead of myself.
My DF and I actually met at a bar in college. I know they say you wont meet the person you are going to marry at a bar, but we did. We stayed up all night talking and ended up hanging out until four the next afternoon. I guess if you want to be with someone you just met for that long its a good sign. His family vacations at Disney every year, so I will have to give the Disney wedding idea to him and his mother. Not that I would argue! After the first year of dating I joined him and his family on their vacations to Disney.
The third year I went with them was the year he proposed. We were all at Magic Kingdom going from one ride to another when Ryan asked me to go with him to get a drink. I thought it was wierd that we were seperating from his parents, but he said we would meet them at the next ride. On the way to meet his parents we stopped by the wishing well by the castle. He gave me a coin and told me he wanted me to close my eyes and make a wish. Of course there was a little girl playing in the water and I said but what if I hit her. He then pushed me up closer and said you wont hit her. I guess he was getting a little nervous. Of course when I opened my eyes he was on his knees with the ring in his hand. Oh, and I said yes!
During that vacation we decided that Disney was definately the place we would get married. His mom and I did some wedding crashing to see what different locations for the reception looked like. We also went to Franks to get more information. That was over a year ago and we went back for our planning trip in October. The planning trip was very productive and now we are just getting together the finishing touches. The following journal will include what I am doing in the last three months of the planning stage:
My sister and I spent all weekend making these door hangers for my guests. We are going to put special stickers for people in the wedding party that say mother of the groom or bridesmaid. We still have to add rinstones but I am so excited about how they turned out.
