Cath's trip report - Day 6 – Snowglobes and music boxes – 4th July

Who’s Who

Me – Cath, 32
DH – Tony, 34
DS1 – Anthony 4 years, 10 months
DS2 – Christopher, 3 years 11 months

We shared a villa with the McCusker Family - Ann Marie, my cousin, Her DH Michael, and their kids John, Michael and Gerard, ages 11, 9 and 6

I wake up excited at the prospect of more shopping – we were visiting Belz today. We have breakfast and then I’m reminded I need to phone and get my results. I’ve been doing a Degree in Social Sciences for 3 years, and I was waiting for my final results!!
So I phoned, and…….I passed, with distinction no less!!! I was dead pleased……….and immediately my thoughts turned to the music box shop in Belz, and what Tony could buy me for passing my exams.

We get to Belz and start in the Mall with Adidas and the WDW shop. We get trainers for everyone and in the WDW shop they are selling snowglobes…….at 50% off…those magical words. The were $40, reduced from $80. I couldn’t decide between the Cinderella one or the WDW one with the for park icons inside the snow globe – I thought about buying 2 but are difficult to take home. I decided on the WDW one.
It was now after lunch time, and we still hadn’t made it into the other mall, but we needed to eat so we opted for Sweet Tomatoes. All I can say is WOW!! It was one of the best meals we had in the holiday. This was our first visit – recommended by many here on DIS. We just loved it – even the kids loved it. It was so reasonable too – and such a nice change to eating fries and burgers etc. We ate loads and loads – too much!!

Other family decided to go to SeaWorld with their second day free , and we headed back to Belz – just to one shop. The Music Boxes……and there was 25% off today…….Tony bought me (or I bought myself……) a Gone With the Wind music box. It is a square lacquered box – easy to take home, and plays Tara’s theme inside.

I was happy now, and we headed to the villa with our purchases. We then decided to go to Boardwalk – just to pass the evening. We walked into the Yacht and Beach Club resort – witnessed a marriage proposal on the way!!! Kids played on the sand for a while, then we headed back. Was desperate to try Beaches and Cream but it was a 1 hours wait for a table!!

So we headed back – and stopped at BK and picked up some fries and Onion Rings for supper.

Looked at the plans for tomorrow – Epcot.
