Catherine & Jesse - PJ & TR: TR Day 2 - hair & make up trial, updated 11/5

I know Meryll was interested in some of the specifics of the DP so I'm posting this in case any other brides were wondering the same thing.

I emailed my planner to ask her how much it would cost to rent some tables and chairs for the DP and she told me that there is a flat $75 set up fee. It doesn't go by how many chairs and tables you're renting, but you're more paying for someone to set them up. She also said they usually set up some standard cocktail tables for you anyway.

Meryll - My planner said you don't need to rent one chair per person, but you could if you wanted to. If you are only having 25 people, I think the benches and a few chairs would be good enough. HTH!

Thanks for this,
That's not bad at all then if it's just a one-off fee!

Yay another PJ! I love reading these :)

Sounds like you got the ball rolling! That is wicked awesome! I love the poofy dress, (I know it's late, but that's my two cents.).

Can't wait to read more!

Hey Catherine,
I just wanted to tell you that I love your welcome bags for the kids! That so cute that there personilized. So creative!

OMG Catherine, I don't know how I've missed your PJ, but somehow it happened. I have just read through everything and WOW! I love the proposal. BIG POINTS for DF suprising you like that! And he even thought to wear his Incredibles shirt (WHat a man!:lovestruc )

Dresses:

I love the poof of dress #1...BTW Poofiness is one of the required characteristics of wedding dresses (just like the 5 C's of diamonds. :rotfl:
Dress #3 is very elegant as well...there's something about the lace that makes it so feminine and elegant.

Your e-ring is gorgeous and I really like wedding band #2. I like the different shapes and I think that they will complement your e-ring nicely.

You've been incredibly busy planning. I can't wait to hear more.

Hi Lisa! :wave2:

I'm so glad you're enjoying my PJ, thanks for reading along!

I love dress #1 too. I think its the perfect amount of poof. The only thing I'm concerned about is the chapel train - its so long! I'm 5"0 tall and I'm afraid its just too much for me, but I really looove the dress . I'm going to post pictures of me in it so let me know what you think.

Thanks for your opinion on the wedding band. Its makes me feel better because at first I wasn't sure about all the different shapes, but seems like almost everyone here likes that one too. Also all my BMs agreed on #2 as well.

More to come :goodvibes

This weekend I went dress shopping with my Mom and BMs. I tried on about 4 dresses and now I'm down to 2 that I really love. I originally wanted to try on the Suzanne Vidal but the bridal shop only had the Suzanne. The 2 dresses are almost exactly the same except the beading/lacing is a little different. I still want to go and try on the Suzanne Vidal at some point though.
Here I am in the Suzanne:
They only had it in the gold color, but I would probably get it in the diamond white. This dress was kind of big on me, but its suppose to be a lot more fitted.

This dress is called Grace and I thought it was really pretty and decided to try it on also. I really love this dress too. It’s so different from the Suzanne – it’s not as poofy and the train is much smaller. My Mom was telling me that she thought this dress would be better for me because the train wasn’t so long and it would be easier for me to walk around in.

I really love both of these dresses and they are so different from each other. I just don't know right now. I still have to go and try the Suzanne Vidal on and I will post pictures of that too. But as for these 2...which one do you think looks nicer?

After I tried on my dresses, we all went over to David's Bridal to look at some BM dresses. This is the bridesmaid dress we might be going with. I love the color of this dress and will most likely be the color we will choose.

You look beautiful in both of them! We could be dress twins and you are my motivation to lose weight, you look gorgeous! :)

I love dress 1 the picture on the Maggie site means I can see the white colour there, but dress 2 does really suit you also!
The detailing on both of them is so pretty.

Good luck with your hunt for the Suzanne Vidal, definitely see if you can find it out, you've seen my story of what happened when I finally found my dream dress, right? :thumbsup2

Catherine -- Both of those dresses are gorgeous on you. Not that I've experienced this personally, but I have read and heard of so many brides regretting not just the length of a train, but the weight of it; so many ended up with backaches. I think you are so gorgeous that nearly any dress will look great on you, but not everyone can wear dress #2 and I think it is stunning on you. If you are having second thoughts about the length of the train because of your height, maybe you could find a similar one to the first dress without so long a train?

Oh, and that bridesmaid dress is gorgeous! I LOVE the color and the style! Congratulations on finding something so quickly! :woohoo:

Good luck on your search! I hope you are having fun with the dress shopping process!

I love your BM dress. The colour is beautiful. As for wedding dresses they are both beautiful but I think I am leaning more towards the Suzanne only because I love the detail on the dress. I bet it is gorgeous in white.

Can't wait to see the other dress when you try it on!

Those dresses are beautiful ~ the detail on both is so neat! Good luck on making your choice! I was reading through your journal and it's great. :)

Aww Liz! You're so sweet! We should totally be dress twins! I can't wait to see you in your dress :)

I'm so happy that you found your dream dress! It was definitely meant to be. Don't worry, as soon as I find and try on the Suzanne Vidal, I will post pictures.

Thank you so much Cam! I'm still not sure which dress I want yet - although I'm leaning more towards the first one. I just love the style and poof of it. The second one is simple and elegant and has a very classic feel. Its such a hard choice! Unfortunately after looking through the Maggie Sottero site, yet again - I couldn't find a dress similar to the suzanne with a shorter train :sad1:.

I'm glad you like the BM dress. The color is really pretty in person and all the girls seem to like it too

I love both dresses.....What a hard choice!

Thanks Lisa! I'll let you guys know when I finally come to a decision.

Thanks Tammy! The detailing on the Suzanne is what I love about it so much. I also love the layering on it, which is why I can't seem to let it go - even with the huge train! I will definitely post pictures of the Suzanne Vidal after I try it on!

the "suzanne" is beautiful...imagine how nice it will look when it is your size..amazing!

I know! I can't wait!

Catherine,
