Hi All! I am completely new to the Disney cruise experience. I am so excited! We just booked our 1st Disney cruise for next April. We are doing the 5 night cruise on the Dream 4/5-4/10 2012. My question is this. We booked cat 9b deluxe oceanview staterooms. We are in staterooms 2504 and 2506 located on deck 2. What are your thoughts on the room location and the deck level?

Appreciate any feedback you avid cruise goers can provide!

Reese

I am intersted in this also. We are cruising the first time April 15 and are in Room #2028 Category 09B.

We are booked in cabin # 2025 #2024 and #2008 on the Dream sailing Mar. 27th thru the 31st.(We have 3 families in our group) I will report back after our stay, but from the reports of previous cruisers the cabins seem great. No noise concerns and easy access to dining, laundry room and for port disembarking.

We are super excited to be on the Dream. I plan on a trip report as soon as we get back.

Awesome! Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

We are there this Sunday. I will report back and let you know!

Thank you so much!

I was in 2006 which is on the other side. LOVED the location, loved it.

This is so GOOD to hear!

Subbing to get some info. We have 9b gty status in Aug on the dream x I can't wait!

We are in 2548 on March 13th sailing of the Dream. Had some friends who were there earlier this month. They said it was a great place to be.

I will report back in 3 weeks!!

We stayed in 2502 on the Dream two weeks ago, and really liked the location. Very conventient to Royal Palace, Enchanted Garden, and Walt Disney Theatre and Buena Vista Theatre, as stairs very close to door. Not bad to pool, as forward elevators didn't seem overly busy most of the time. Sports deck a bit of a trek obviously (top and aft).

No issues for us with noise from stairs/elevators or hallway traffic. The only thing I noticed was that occassionally when going to bed (or if awake during night), it seemed like I would hear some door slamming outside our room. I don't think it was neighbor's door...my guess is that it was the service door at the end of the hall (ie, two doors down). Wasn't a major issue...just something I noticed a few times.

Whole family loved the porthole. While not as big as some of the higher categories, it was still big enough for us to chill in.

And while not necessarily related to only deck 2, my wife and I agreed that this was the nicest/best appointed stateroom we've ever had in cruising (covering 4 different cruise lines).

This post just made me so happy!!! 2502 is the stateroom right next to where we will be staying!!!

In looking at the Deck maps, the room location did look like it was convenient to alot of stuff, but you know looks can be deceiving sometimes! :goodvibes

It's so funny you mentioned about the porthole... The one thing my son has been asking is if the porthole in our room would be big enough to sit in like some of the pictures he's seen!I'm so glasdto be about to tell him he will be able to shill in it!

I'm so excited to cruise and pleased that our staterooms are in a good location! Thank you so very much for all the info! :flower3:

Liking the reports so far. Just got our cabin and it's 2008!! Nervous about being on deck two but glad now that I've found these posts. Come back and let us know how 2006 and 2008 were!!

I'm interested in cat 9B also. We booked cabin 2554 on the Fantasy in 2012.

Any Dream reports about 2554?

Update -We have our room 2030 !

Once I got the room the first this I did was check out the reiews on the dis. The only report on it was a kinda negative one - sewage issues:eek: however I am hoping Disney would have this sorted by August. :rolleyes1

It looks very convient - am thinking its not too far to stumble out of bed to get to EG for breakfast.

if anybody with a trip planned finds they can't make it. let me know and I would do a trade. I tried to get a reservation with my grandkids and they were all booked.

I'm curious as to how you think you could do a trade? You can't call DCL and ask for someone else's reservation. All you could do is hope that if someone canceled, you happened to be online when it went back into inventory.
