castmember discounts on Hotels

Does anybody know if there are still discounts on Hotels,restaurants and stores if you work at the disney store??

I have an on-line friend interning at WDW now. She says she can get discounts for hotels and the likes.

As for working at the Disney Store, we had this conversation a few weeks ago. Since Dis Store has been taken over by The Children's Place, the only discounts seem to be on park passes.

I'm curious about the Disney Store? I may take a job there(mainly for the discount) not sure if they still offer any discounts??

Hi there:

No, CM's at the DS are no longer eleigible to receive discounts on rooms, etc. at WDW. As you probably know, DS was bought out by the Children's Place, and is no longer owned by the Disney Co. The exception to this would be The World of Disney Store in NYC, which is still owned and operated by the Disney Co. I was a CM for several years, and we did receive a few nice perks. Sadly, they are gone, like the quality of merchandise at the stores.

Thanks! Bummer, I don't think I want the job now. I thought I would get discounts,free tics etc.. I woek Full time and thought Disney store would be a great park time job..

I was in the same boat as you, thinking about getting a part-time job there for the money and the Disney bennies. My primary job is close-to third-shift, so I have days open.

Instead I've taken up dog walking... And I'm surprised how much I can make off of it around here. Next year may be the CR!

I think someone said you get a 30% discount at Disney Stores as in the chain (I don't know about on site) and you get maybe one or two free passes a year. Nothing for hotels.

I guess DIS Store employees don't really count as Castmembers in the grand Disney scheme?
