Castle-style cake

Hi all,

As a UK bride only our very immediate family will be coming over for the wedding and, as such, we are having a proper reception over here too.

For this we are having one of my mum's friends make the cake - she makes the best cakes in terms of taste and creativity! As she can match almost any design if she has decent pictures I was wondering if anyone has any photos of a castle cake? It doesn't have to necessarily be a Disney castle, just a fairytale one

If you go to Cake Central, you can see all sorts of castle cakes! You may have to register for an account, but if you take a peek in the galleries and look under the Fairy Tale themed gallery, you should see plenty of castle cakes! Let me know if you have any trouble...(I post my cakes over there!)

do you mean the actual cake shaped like a castle? i dont have one like that, but my cake is castle themed & has a castle topper

You know...I got to thinking about this last night...I guess I should have clarified as to whether you meant literally a castle shaped cake or if you meant one like Amanda's up there...i'm on the hunt for some castle cake pics, just in case!

This is Amanda's mom(princess bride010103) I now know why I had to go get Amanda cupcakes last night after seeing that beautiful cupcake you made and posted. The only sad thing is I am sure the store bought ones did not compare to the beauty you made. Do you happen to live in South Florida by any chance????

Thanks for all your posts - that cake is beautiful

Ideally we would like a cake where the top tier is edible and shaped liked a castle, or the whole things is shaped like a castle, without having any tiers - hope that makes it clearer!

Sorry I haven't been back online til now - had a very busy week at work.
