Castle shows on days Christmas Day Parade is being taped

On the days the Christmas Day Parade is being filmed (this year it looks like Dec 1 - Dec 3), do they ever do any of the shows in front of the Castle?

Yes - we were in MK last year during one of the tapings - we saw Vanessa Williams, Paulina Rublio (sp?) and John Setzer. We just stopped briefly as it was our last day and we didn't want to spend too much time watching. They shoot everything over and over and over again.

We found minimal lines that morning but by lunchtime things started getting crazy - I think a bunch of the high school groups had finished their parts and were being let lose in the park.

I was in one of the 'assigned' groups that stood in front of the Castle for the show tapings last year on Friday morning, early. We stood there for about 3 hrs....much waiting around. I was there for Brian Setzer, his group was terrific, but after 2 1/2 hrs. of in one place, sporadic cheering/clapping, I had to take my old bones out of there. The crowd was really pretty big in the morning but seemed to thin out by the time I left at about 11:00 or so. John O'Hurley was the next act...wish I had enough 'umph' to hang out longer, but my knees and lower back were screaming.
