Castle photo, how much?

Do the Disney CMs take a picture of your family in front of the castle and how much does it cost? Also what size is it?

You can get your family picture taken in front of the castle. We do this every year, they are very cute this year! I just get the 5x7 and it is around $11, but I have to have it.
This year they have 2 or 3 people in the picture place their hands out in front of them and look into their hands with a shocked look on their face. When you pick your pictures up, there she is..........
TINKERBELL!!! sitting right in your hands!!

For the 5x7 and 4 wallets its $16.95 we got this package at every park end of Sept. At Epcot they put Mickey in your hand

In past trips I have in my notes that we spent $12.95 for a pic in front of the castle. We only get one 5x7 but no wallets. And these past trips have all been in the last 4-5 years.

The reason we did not get ours at MK this year was mainly because a lady and her son were standing so close to us that is seemed they were with us! The other shot has DD holding tinkerbell and is a closer up shot (with less background people) but the photographer had her hand so far out, you couldn't even see Tink. So get them done on one of your first days so you can have it retaken if it's not good. We did get DD in front of the Tree of Life holding Simba (one of her favorites!) the one of all of us was good except I forgot to remove my sunglasses! There you only see the tree and the people in the photo.
Lasy year we had one done at Epcot, there they put your photo in front of the castle with Mickey & Friends surrounding you.

Just be careful when you get your pictures. This past year we were in Epcot on NYE and when we went to purchase our pictures the person they had selling the pictures made it sound like we had to get the package. We only wanted one picture but I said if that was the only way we could get it I would get the package. In previous years we did not have to buy the package. When I went to pick up the pictures I made a comment to the girl printing them out that I really only wanted one picture - she said of course I could get just a single picture and gave me a credit back as I did not get the package. I was alittle anoyed that the seller made it seem like I could only get the package when I specifically stated I only wanted the picture. Stand you ground for what you want.

brybrie......... yes, there are CM' with big camera's walking around to take your pic. You shouldn't have any trouble finding them.

I also think it is a good idea to get it taken on your 1st ( if there is more than 1) MK day that way you can have it done again. Also when we were there in Jan. at a very slow time they told us that they pics are held in the system for awhile. It depends on how busy the park is as to how long it will be in the system. As they are taking fewer pics with fewer crowds. So one evening when we stopped by as the park was closing to buy our pic the line was just huge. This very nice CM told us to just stop back in the next day to see our pic as it will still be there then.

So the next day we got another pic taken and then we bought the looked at both of the ones and picked the one we liked best.
