Castle Contest and Non US Residents

I am just curious about why DVCers from other countries are not eligable for the Castle Contest? Does anyone have any insight?

My understanding it has to do with taxes, and such. Basically goverment regulations prevent it.

That seems unfair since DVC is so internationally owned.
I suppose a contest to stay in one of the countries in the World Showcase wouldn't fool the government, huh? A contest for the Canadian DVCers to stay in Canada, the English and Irish and Scots could all stay in the UK.... etc.?
If I win, I vow to bring at least one non US resident DVCer with me. But, I don't think you should pack any time soon. I wouldn't call myself lucky.

I guess since you have to pay tax on it, you have to be a US resident to win.

It is on the member website. Click on the Just for Members section and go to Special Offer to get the number that you need to enter.
