Castaway Hammocks

Just reading the "what to expect before you go" pages again before our cruise on Monday (fingers crossed!) and came across this:



Just a thought - aren't hammocks pretty much permanently suspended? Aren't they just nets on the beach if not? Thank you Disney - needed a little humor during this whole cruising experience!

Question for those who had a cabana on Castaway Cay...did you have to join the virtual que to get off the ship? We are Platinum for the first time and it is our first time getting a Cabana. Would like to have the maximum time possible. TIA

We did not ned to join the VQ to get off the ship with the Cabanas. Anyone who has a port adventure scheduled for first thing in the morning can use that adventure instead of a VQ number.

Ok was about to make a post and saw this thread already started. We were on the Christmas cruise on the Dream and sadly discovered, in fact, there were no hammocks on Serinity Bay except at the cabanas. We were told by guest services that it was due to COVID and that they'll be back, but no date provided. I hated it because, being a bigger guy, those hammocks were so much more comfortable than the loungers.
