Castaway Club Membership Benefits as a DVC Member??

I'm posting this over on the cruise boards too, cause I'm not sure which is the right board...

My question is, are you able to take advantage of the membership benefits the Castaway Club offers if you are also a DVC member and booking cruises with points?? i.e. early booking, welcome gifts, etc.

Yes, you still get the same benefit. However if you book with points 3 days after your cruise you get the discounted points but you don't get the OBC. If you book it with cash and then transfer it you still lose the OBC per castaway club. I just got off the phone with them. We re-booked our transatlantic cruise after getting off the ship and we got the discounted points but not the OBC.

When we went on our last cruise as Castaway Club members...we gave them our names and club membership numbers and had "special welcome home" on our cabin door and welcome gifts for use on the cruise and after and we were invited to the Captain's Party for Club members on board. They were a nice touch etc.. We did not go for early booking on restaurants and such as it was relaxation we were after. Enjoy!
