What would be a good excursion for my 7-year-old daughter? Just the two of us are going on the cruise and I want her to have a good time. Is hanging out at the beach enough at the private Island?

How about the banana boat ride for the two of you? It is fairly short (30 minutes or so total) so you can get back to the beach.

We found that the day went by very quickly, especially if she wants to be in the kid's show that afternoon. They want the kids to be in the Club or Lab at 4:00 for rehearsal, so you need to get back on the ship a little early to shower off the sea water.

There was also a "Soak the Counselors" activity at Scuttles Cove at 2:30, where the kids and counselors throw water balloons at each other.

I'd have to agree -- don't do anything.

My DS8 went snorkeling with my DH (my DD is too small). Then, we rented bikes for an hour and rode around. That was great. And, if you work in a lunch and some beach time, the day is over.

There really is not enough time on CC.

I would not schedule anything, and then just rent a bike, if you want to, it just was so nice to just relax on the beach, I also took my girls to the dig, there is a time around 1:30 I think where they open it to everyone, it is just like a huge sand box with dinosaur bones.
