Castaway Cay "Dress"

So, I impulse purchased the "dress" at Castaway back in January:


Is it supposed to be a real dress or a cover-up? Normally at those prices, I'd say a real dress...but I also feel like I'd wear it around the island...

Hmm...i also think my tickers aren't updating (although if I look in my signature in settings it is correct).

It can go either way. I wouldn't wear it anywhere fancy. It's a super casual summer dress. I'd wear it on a beach vacation with flip flops.

Look at it this way ...if it's a cover-up, you have your bathing suit under it and if it's a dress, you have your underwear under it. So it's serving the same function. But if you wear it as a dress, I'd iron it.

I bought that at the pop up shop in Disney Springs back in April 2021...with no idea when I would get to wear it. I have since worn in on embarkation day, on both our 8/21 and 2/22 cruises. DH has the matching shirt.

And as a side note, my ticker hadn't been updating either, since last week when I redid it because it wasn't moving. I just looked now that you said it and it is correct. Maybe someone on the Tech Support Board can help you with that.

Thank you! It is a bit big and flowy, but I figured that is good for when I'm on a cruise.

The pop up store was in the Coop, right as you walk in to the right, however I don't think it is there anymore. This was during the cruise shut down and I'm wondering if they were just trying to sell some merchandise they had on hand. I also walked away with a pink DCL windbreaker...I was having cruise withdrawals.

I am going to pay better attention to the shopping in Disney Springs for cruise attire ONE WEEK FROM TODAY.

Oh how fun! I would have loved to have gone and seen everyone (Im a former Dreams agent) but my current job doesn't allow for time off like that.

Everyone was on board except Deni (someone in her group tested positive). Had a great time. This 9-night is the remnants of the 2019 booking for a B2B Sept 2020 (using DVC points and will NEVER do that again).
