Castaway Cay 5k Medal

My DD wants to go on the Castaway Cay 5k in November. She wants the medal. Do they still give out medals at the finish line ?

They did just a few months ago. There is a minimum age for "official" participation. I think they have to meet that to get the medal, though anyone can run the race.

Yes. My 11 year-old son and I ran (& walked) it over New Year's, and we got medals.

Even if you're so slow that there is no one at the finish line when you finish, you can pick up your medal (for free) at a shop by the finish line that they tell you to go to if no one is at the finish line. So no stress about not being fast enough to get there in time to get the medal.

Thanks everyone for all the responses DD is 13 so we will be able to do it . I have to do it now to get the medal too .
