Cast Memebr Discounts and Room for 5

Hi All! My daughter has been accepted into the Disney College Program this Fall. We are so excited for her! We are planning to visit her during the first week of December. Does anyone know what the Cast Member discounts are for the resorts? Also, can anyone recommend a resort that would accomodate all of us (me, hubby, daughter and boyfriend and my mother) and still afford us some type of privacy? We don't have any young children in the bunch. Can we add the dining plan if we book tickets and resort separately with the Cast Member discount? I appreciate any feedback as I would like to start planning our trip soon!

My aunt always stays on her brothers discount so I think what I am saying is correct. I believe my uncles discount is usually about 40%(however he has been with disney along time so the discount may vary based on seniority). I think you might want to consider a family suite at all star for your family of 5. One thing I know for sure is that cast members can not get a discount at AoA until it has been opened for 1 year. I also don't think cast members can get discounts on any of the DVC villas(but can not swear to that). My aunt never uses dining plan and buys 10 day non expiring tickets which last her three trips so I can not comment on those two questions.

I haven't heard about waiting a year for discounts at AoA...I was able to check my cast member rate for several dates coming up and AoA came up perfectly fine..


to the OP..

they do offer OGB (other guest bedroom) rates for friends & family.. can be up to 40% off and at select times 50% off and you can then add the Disney Dining Plan or Quick Service Dining to your room only reservation but its not always available.. best bet is to book it as the room only 40% at this point and then when the dining plan comes available to modify it then..ticket would have to be done separately which your daughter can also buy at a discount at any Company D store..when you go to book the room, she would have to be the one to do it and have her perner number in order to book..
